        历史上：朝代更迭
         但是无论如何现代化，有些传统文化都将永远保留。传统的东西在过去也曾经是现代的，现代的也很可能会成为传统。

A controversial issue has appeared and stood unsolved for several decades because of its complexity and uniqueness that whether tradition and modernization can reach an compromise in the present world. One side of the debate deem the goal as a mission impossible because they assert that the two are absolutely incompatible and no bridge can be built between them, to which I totally disagree for the assertion ignores the continuity of history.

Admittedly, there is an apparent chasm between tradition and monetization, which supports this debate somewhat. Turning to the development of our science for example, the newly founded theories in a large scale overthrow the anterior ones, no matter how generally accepted they used to be. In the area of physics, Newtonian mechanics were regarded as the bible to the Christian. However, this point of view meets enormous challenge nowadays, since it can't explain the phenomenon of the microcosm, while the quantum mechanics works well. What’s more old thoughts generally prefer conservation rather than challenge. It reveals similarly in alternation of dynasties. However, no matter how modernized our society is, some tradition will be preserved forever. Every dog has its day, and every history has its present time. What’s fashionable now, may soon turn to be outdated or even disappear in our sight.
The collection between the two matters can never be denied. As the tradition is quintessence of the history river selected by our ancestors and by time, it directs the modern development. When The Great Depression spared desperation to the whole world, it’s Roosevelt’s New Deal saved America. The central theme in it, state intervention in economy, is still regarded as the main economic strategy, preventing crisis from happening. When referring to today’s spiritual civilization, the effects of philosophy and religion, both exist for a long history, can’t be enormous anymore. With the guidance of the tradition, we could avoid many mistakes ever been made.
Not only the former one impact the latter one, but modern culture can also react on its guider. Taking the development of English for example, at the first time it was given to birth, there isn’t as many words as it is now. After accommodating different kinds of languages, and coexisting various culture, can it be so prosperous nowadays. The enlargement of the art of painting goes the same as English, absorbing outstanding forms of drawing of that era such as impressionism and cubism created by Picasso.
From the analysis made above, I commit to the optimal approach that we need to seek a balance and take all-sided consideration. Without tradition, our life will turn to be the river without headstream. Without modernization, the life river will lose its branches alongside the bank. In a word, the two sides live on with each other, we cannot separate this tight relationship.
