Like the Dickens said "This is the best of times, this is the worst of times.". The past 100 years have witnessed the huge improvement of the human beings life, and the society is becoming more and more enlighten. It seems that people have an increasing spacious to make their choice to do what them intend to, however, I cannot but admit that the absence of choice is still a problem the modern human beings hardly to breakthrough.

To begin with, I concede that there are an amount of affairs which can be decided by individual and choice exists indeed at some extent. Like the saying goes "Choose your love and love your choice”, which expresses that people have the right of choosing by the guidance of fondness and willing of themselves". For instance, Benefited from the technology, there are ample and delicious food for us to choose in our daily lives, furthermore, the modern society also filled with various fashion elements satisfy our spirit lives, thus we can choose any movies we like, and choose any kinds of clothes we fond of. From a larger perspective, the modern democracy society is a huge progress compared with the centralization one, where we can enjoy the right of vote, and through which we choose the candidate we trust to be the representative of our willing.

However, as far as I concerned, such choices are illusion at the best and the numerous opportunities of choice are just cheating, and more often than not, we are in the passive circumstance. As what I mentioned above, the daily lives' choice are meaningless regarding to realize our personal social value, which have muted effect for our life. Again, the right of vote is more like a cheating which merely exists in the form and lost its original core spirit. It is money that decides which one can be success in vote, also the candidate representative the few financial group instead of the ordinary people. The essence of choice is not the behavior of it, but the profound influence it brings about, such as the choice of profession, to be a leader who possess wealth, respect, status, or to be a volunteer just dedicate to the disadvantaged groups, and the choice of lover, choosing the one who is beauty, or the one has poor appearance but embrace a diamond heart.

When coming with such choices, the situation perhaps would opposite to the author's opinion. As the famous sociologist Weber Marx said, the individual have been already lapse into the rational trap, becoming to only a screw of the society, they have little choice but to follow the mainstream value of society and practice the conformity behavior every day. It is the ration that guide people "Think before you leap", and it is also the ration that ask people to judge the choice by how much it can benefit them. Children are passive to study diligently for they want to embrace a good future; women choose to make up themselves in that the other raves her beauty; People choose to be kinds since the society discard the evils. Insofar as the whole society, all the well socialized man has already internalized the underlying common value of the society. The society of capitalism adores money, thus people want to be merchant; the religious society believes God, so the priest is appreciated by people. The fact is that we have little choice, since society has already made the arrangement to us.

So in sum, the choice in our life seems numerous apparently, in fact, restriction stem from the mainstream value standard of society damage it seriously. To realize our true right of choice, a series spirit leaders are necessity, who take the responsibility to conduct a movement to recall the ordinary people be trust to themselves and making a true choice from their own perspectives.
