In this era of rapid and splendid social and technological changes shifting our minds and values thoroughly,which leads to an apparently increasing phenomena that the nationals keep their eyes on the knowledge acquirement and a requirement for a higher-quality of the instruction,students who are going to begin attending a certain university or a college appeal to significantly improvement on the teaching system carrying now over the one before,as well as their parents and the teachers.Hard as it may be for us to select out a best access that can be availible to various situations and direct to an excellent and satisfying outcome,for we have so many choices and each one doesn`t come out perfectly to everybody in every circumstance ,so we have to call for a balance that we should figure out a relatively better way that operates well in most time and when it is not adequate we remove it and use other methods instead flexibly.It`s such a fortune that a recent research point out that some social practice and participation in a certain extent can benifit a lot to faculty in colleges,which i think is an inclinedly feasible way to put into practice.
What`s the most effective way to enlighten a student?All the professors think over it and came out with diverse answers.One that is accepted among the majority of them is to be a guide rather than a repeater of the textbook,who is usually reading the book again in his class making the students feel like sleelpy.
Evidently,the factors of being an outstanding guide include these things: skilled ability to put the theory into reality and a profounded and merticulous thought that can discover a formula from daily life,
what`s more,an expansive horizon is never redundant.Where are these factors from?There`s no doubt that they derives from social practice,both in their professional field and outside it,which seems necessary for those who teaches sociology,engineering,anthropology and so on.When they are working outside the academic world,they may widen their eyesight,which can exhort them to explore their research from a new visual angle in order to boost the academical standard,on the other hand,maybe can bring a proffer of some kinds of assistant jobs to their students and let them experience the society before they step into it.
Another advantage of the aforementioned suggestion which seems subtle but should not be left behind is that the achievement of the scientific research can be turned into production,which can help the student study and accelerate the speed of the development of the science and technology.At the same time,the economic effects the program brings to us is actual and attractive,which,we have to say,the plan that making the writing research into real production and then selling them to gain financial benifits builts a virtuous cycle that the money we gain from selling the production or the technology to product them can be devoted into the study in other fields,and then, on and on.
Frankly,the dominant position of the program that request professors work outsides academic fields which I think I have been talking at length may lead you to say that it`s a flawless approach,but,as I mentioned in the first paragragh,it should carry on flexibly to adjust to different kinds of situations.Some subjects,you know,like mathematics, do not link with social activities so much as they are somewhat so theoretical.Those professor who teach subjects like this should sit in their office and try their best to make the maths come out and then show the solution to the students in class.Undoutbly,there is no need that ask them to work like the folk and cause perspiration.
In sum,asking the faculty to work outside the academic world in profession relevant to the courses they teach in order to promote the teaching standard is somehow effecient,except for some certain circumstances ,in which the plan cannot run well.As it can elevate the teachers own quality and bring flowing fund to college to support the function that the school runs,we should stand by it,but,in the meantime,we should not call all the faculty to do so,for some of them may accomplish more if they stay in their own position. |
