The author asserts that children's social behavior defines our future society and we have not learned how to raise children who can bring us a better society. I agree to the former one, but it is unnecessary to raise children on purpose.

In contrast with the past, children in contemporary society lack of the sense of society. Children fear to undertake the responsibilities of society and lack of sympathy, the sense of competition and cooperation. Their indifferent attitudes toward the society and eager for undertake the responsibilities illustrate these facts. Individualism and liberalism plays an essential role to influence children. Otherwise, the effects from family are also the factors.

In modern society, family activities are the core of children's life. Children barely contact with other people. To some extent this fact renders children isolated and irresponsible. Otherwise, the spoiled love from parents is also harmful to their children. Coddle from family, which likes a shield for children, lead to the children's ignorance of social responsibilities. According to a research, orphans and those children who come from single-parent family often have a stronger sense of society than those children who come from common family. Perhaps, parents should find out a proper way to educate their children.

From the angle of society, society plays a crucial role to influence children. Current society emphasizes the importance of individualism and the realization of self-value as a result of the development of modern world. The rapid development of technologies such as internet and cell phones altered the face-to-face communication to long-distance communication. However, lacks of emotional communication, the long-distance communication changed children's character in some ways. Under this background, children's behaviors are changed to adjust the development of society.

However, society also changes for their people. Rigid is not an element of society. It alters as a result of persons' thoughts and behaviors. That is to say, a society is not designed and fixed for offspring. No matter how children behave, society, like a cushion, will adjust for persons. Perhaps, the characters of children can help them adjust to this society. Adults do not have to educate their children purposely for society. Even though parents learned how to raise children in a proper way, they cannot foresee how society will change. Perhaps, it was a good method, but after several years, it has improper effects on society.

In summary, certainly, children will determine the destiny of society. But no one will find out a certain way that can help parents educate their children who can help bring about a better society.
