  In this era of rapid social and technological change leading to increasing life complexity and psychological displacement, both positive and negative effects among persons in Western society call for a balance in which there are both computer chnology and people think deeply or originally.I believe the computer technology can make our life better.On the other hand ,now that computer technology has made possible the rapid accessing of large amounts of factual informatin,people are less than ever to think deeply or originally .This will lead to the result people have no time to thinking about the nature of things.This will help the development of science and technology is a block.

  Obviously, nowadays we can never imagine living in a world that there is no cars for traveling to offices, no televisions for watching TV shows, no cellular phones for communications with our family, no computerand for surfing the web search the information you need,and so forth. Technological advancement has knitted the world to be a seamless web of information and phone lines, in which people are able to get the requisites much more easily than ever before. When we are at work, we surf the internet for suggestions and information; when we are hungry, we call an express delivery service; when we feel tired, we book an airplane ticket to Hawaii for weekends.The computer can let us understand a lot of things we don't know.For example ,the computer technology has brought people convenient,it can make people send e-mail to each other. so we can share the knowledge in a short time .Through the computer technology,we can easily get lots of information,which to obtain it through the newspaper is a small part of ,in some years ago.Although we easily get the lots of news and knowledge, but do we have enough time to digest and absorb them?

  People fell unable to compete with --much less contribute to--the quantily of information that is now available electronically.Because the computer technology,it seems a paradox that our efficiencies are much higher than ever before while our leisure time is increasingly diminishing, but it is actually the reality. The greater our mobility, the more our destinations each day; the more time-saving facilities we use, the more activities we try to attend each day; with more convenient access to information, we try to assimilate more of it each day. Nowadays we are forced to do more by the superiors, the competitors, or even by ourselves. Fortunately, we have more opportunities and choices than our predecessors, but at the same time, unfortunately, we have to confront with much more challenges and suffer from much more pressure. Therefore, people to digest absorb so much information,it may be not able to enjoy their leisure time and have no time to think deeply or originally much in such an increasingly competitive society, consequently resulting in some serious social problems, such as unemployment, resentment, high suicide rate, anti-social behaviors, and so forth.

  In sum, The purpose of computer technology as a kind of means that people can make a better life and explore the world. But the computer technology should not become a kind of people living in the heavy burden. Deep thinking is necessary, instant computer technology are very important, but not always can play an important role, and other communications is very necessary. If we find a balance between them, and properly arrange our time and knowledge, we can have a better life.
