40. Scholars and researchers should not be concerned with whether their works makes contribution to the large society .it is more important that they pursue their individual interests, however unusual or idiosyncratic those interests may seem.

Under no circumstance could overlook the significance of the power of individual interest to promote the development of society. In that , if everyone no matter who he is devote themselves into their individuals interests properly , the large society tend to improve extraordinarily great undoubtedly. Therefore I completely agree with the speaker that the scholars and researchers pursue their individual interests . nevertheless , the interest must be restricted by the standard of laws and ethics and cannot be extremely unusual and idiosyncratic. accordingly, scholars should pursue the interest properly otherwise it tend to not be the contribution but a barrier to the development of society .








Admittedly , no one can deny the positive and appreciable impact of pursuing the individual interest to individuals or large society . on the one hand , Scholars and researchers pursuing their own interest ,as a individual, not only can maximize one’s personal value but also improve the creativity . so , everyone in the society discover own value and tend to create more to benefit their families and themselves. Simultaneously , devote themselves to the individual interest leads to the production of new discovery and original opinion . and the creativity of Scholars and researchers tend to change the society and even the life of human. On the other hand , to the large society , pursuing interest seems for the individual own but ,in inherent , it also to promote development of the large family –the large society . everyone in the society pursue more value must improve the productive power of the society . promote the process of the development .
Nevertheless , the interest must be according to the restriction of laws and benefit the development of society otherwise the consequence will be a disaster . we cannot image individuals in the society just pursue the private profits that may be evil and ruin the whole world.
Especially for the Scholars and researchers , without the restriction , a scholar just pursue his interest such as creating disease , harm human beings , cause the wars and so forth . these interest tend to lead a catastrophe consequence and bring nothing but seriously harm to the common individuals and the large society .

Accordingly, we cannot ignore the significance of the individual interests of Scholars and researchers but also not just pursuing the private interest without restriction . what’s more , the scholars interests also cannot be extremely unusual . after all , the final aim of the discovery or research is to benefit the common people and the large society . for instance , Einstein’s theory make great effort to the production of nuclear weapon . but he argue that the nuclear weapon must be forbidden because of it will destroy the human beings. This also substantiate that Scholars and researchers not only should persist their interests properly but also should consider whether does the interest benefit society or human beings.
In summary , Scholars and researchers should striking a balance between the individual interest and the need of the large society is the best solution not only improved the scholars creativity but also accelerate the process of the development of the society .

看过感觉自己的作文真是太烂了，我写不出你这么流畅的句子。
说实话楼主的思想表达能力是不错，但是我整体读下来感觉就是有点空洞，没有具体的的例子，可能就在最后提到了一下爱因斯坦的原子弹的例子。在我的概念里GRE作文就是要自己思想加适当的例子，这样就更加有说服力！
