求定位+求相关专业硕士申请的奖学金统计资料

小女先提前感谢各位回帖的大侠~

     1)求定位: 小女系2007级本科生, 211,985学校药学专业,毕业后bachelor of science. 托福已经考过一次89,10月二战托福. GRE550+750+3. GPA 83.7 .一年生物技术制药实验室经历.目前为止无论文,但是现在在做一个自己在实验室的一个小项目,预计明年年初会有论文发表.

         想要申请药理学或者生物药物相关专业.请问如果想要拿phd的fellowship可以冲击美国排名多少的学校? TA或者RA呢?


      2)小女志在读完回国,觉得五年时间太长,而且担心国内的研究状况如果读一些比较基础的学科会不好找工作(如果不进学校的话),所以想要向各位前辈请教一下生物药学或者药理学相关专业硕士生拿奖的情况.最好有关于硕士生拿奖比例和数额的统计表之类的东西.

I guess you can try 50-100. If you want to apply for master too, try 50 maybe.

If you wanna go back to China, you can find a job with a master degree. But it may not be as good as you wish it to be. And if you work in a company or institution where everyone else has phd, how can you expect to have big promotions. (Same in North America too actually)

So if your goal is to find a job, master degree is enough. But in that case, don't expect to be the lead person in your research. Or maybe you can do business in life science company with that, then you dont do research any more.

But if research is what you want to do in company after going back, you need a phd to reach the high-up, and you even need several years of postdoc to have a good position. That may take you 8-10 years to finish.
