Dr. Florin Rusu has immediate Ph.D. positions available in the School of Engineering at University of California, Merced. Dr. Rusu focuses his research on databases with a special emphasis on large scale data management. He is interested both in algorithmic problems (approximation

Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline(Bachelor and/or Master) and good communication skills in English (GRE and TOEFL scores). We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a deep mathematical understanding, excellent programming skills (C/C++ under Linux), and desire to develop practical systems.
