Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.
I agree with the author’s broad assertion that education which pays more attention to interests of the students could make more effective results. However, the speaker unclearly notices the logical relation between education and the personal demands, the motivation for which may be due to being ignorant of the generalization of education. Simultaneously, my discussing viewpoints cover/involve the criterion for effective.
If education can be designed to cater to interest of so many students, then this argument is probably true. As we all know, interest is the best teacher for us to study in school. When you are in class you love, you will attend positively without being absent-minded or playing with your mobile phone. What’s more, you may highly expect the time goes slowly, all of which above result in a good process of digesting knowledge.
In the matter of fact, that finding interest of a child and absolutely is not so easy, let alone interest could change whenever and wherever possibly. That is to say, designing education is not practicable. Admittedly, designing of elementary education contributes to discover students’ interest. But the fact is that in China lots of children can’t make determinations on personal prospect for themselves especially when they are in childhood the most valid phase to start some territory. Literature and art lessons are canceled for lacking of facilities and teachers in remote villages. The last reason but not least, the reality of ensuring enrollment quotas mistakes the purposes of education for achieving high scores, which leads to sacrifice children’s interest for so-called truly effective education.
Yet, in the very notion of true effect lies my point of contention with the speaker, who neglects conflicts between the individual needs and the social needs. When we judge whether education is indeed effective depends on a balance between them. As individuality in the society, we can’t only care about personal benefits when we are sharing education. For instance, some guys studying overseas ultimately leave there because of better pay, better working conditions and better chances for career development even if their native land urgently needs them.
Acceptance of education aims for improving our qualities that help us to realize our dreams, In the process of which we can achieve individual value.

In conclusion, interest unarguably makes someone learn more vigorously and digest more deeply. Teachers should carefully observe their students and cultivate their possible interest. Our society also should takes notice of the inclination of children and respect their own chooses unless they need correction. The most urgent responsibility for education is to help students establish their right personal value so that they can wisely allow their next generation to do what they love. In the long run, only in this way can various of talented persons meet the social needs according to normal school in mathematics.
