Issue210 "Most people choose a career on the basis of such pragmaticconsiderations as the needs of the economy, the relative ease of finding a job,and the salary they can expect to make. Hardly anyone is free to choose acareer based on his or her natural talents or interest in a particular kind ofwork."
段1:
Admittedly, It is reasonable toseek pragmatic job for needs of economy, the relative ease of hunting a job,and salary they want to draw.
However,it is over-generalization in regards to factors which determining careerseeking only based on pragmatic concern. If it is generally true, why manypeople would work in unprofitable professions.
2.2艺术家们过着清贫的日子(leading a life of hardship),为了表达出他们对美的理解。例如Van Gogh
段3:
Finally, these two aspects are actually not contradicted to each other, one might beable to choose a career based on individual interest or natural talents, aswell as the decent pay.
Issue171:(例子很烂) "People who pursue their ownintellectual interests for purely personal reasons are more likely to benefitthe rest of the world than are people who try to act for the public good."
John Nash’s Nash Equilibrium
