In this era ofrapid social and technological changes people are craving for success than everbefore. When it comes to the relationship between preparation before successand taking chances and risk, there is always a whole host of different opinionshold by different individuals. Admittedly, taking chances and risking is criticalfor being successful. Yet the careful and cautious preparation should be consideredas an equal important role for the success in some realms of life.



On one hand,taking chances and risk means having the opportunity to participate some kindsof contest. Without chances one person cannot even take part in the competitionwith others, let alone to succeed. Champion must join in the race first beforehe/she becomes champion, even he/she may be more superior to other athletes. Moreover,taking chances and risks that others are afraid of usually increase the chanceof succeeding; even decide success or failure under uncertain circumstances. Inthe last round of diving matches, some players execute highly difficult diveswhich might get advantage score to win. Some gamblers may win huge amount ofmoney through one gambling, which is a kind of adventurous game requiring contestantsfacing more risks. Similar examples can also be found at lottery, someonechanges to a millionaire immediately through buying the Los Premios. Chances andrisks are certainly concomitant with success.



On the otherhand, impertinent taking actions without careful and cautious preparation mayresult in failure. Careful and wary preparation is necessary for finding thechances, being attentive to potential problems and risks, and having thecapacity to win. For instance, some investors’ loss their money in stockmarkets since they lack the preparation about the markets which should not be judgedrecklessly but studied thoroughly.
Decisionsare better to be made after reading some analysis and knowing some economic knowledgeas well. Even one person wants to take chances and risks; at least, he/sheshould know where the opportunities of success lie and how to make the successcome true. In some scientific research fields, scientists should have a goodcommand of exist knowledge before they find something new. Before Madam Curie foundthe reactive element radium, she had two master degrees majored in physics andmathematics from Paris University. After over three years experiment, her husbandand she extracted 0.1grams of radium from tons of slag. It is hard to say thatwithout knowledge preparation in school and experiment experience, Madam Curiehad the sense to the existence of a new element, or thought of a right methodto discover it.



In sum, without takingchances and risks, one person can never step out the first step toward success.It cannot be denied the great importance of careful and cautious preparation insome fields. Success can be achieved after sufficient preparation and takingchances and risks both in time and intrepidly.
