本人现在ucsb读master项目；G470+800+4.0；本科UIBE，GPA3.4；一年国企工作经验。现申请2011fall的phd，要funding。
请前辈指出优势劣势，多多批评，尤其是GRE的分数，是否需要重考，谢谢！

Papers are not so important for undergraduate applicants, but essential to applicants who hold a master degree.

as a first year grad student, exams will end in early Dec. master GPA is absent before. paper is of the present none. what preparations should i do? i mean, considering my one year MA program.

优势就是如果master成绩好，可能能拿ucsb的博士吧。不知道Gary Charness教你们不，如果有他的信那当然也是优势。但如果master没有出色的表现，本科的gpa是一个劣势。

MASTER不太可能有PAPER一般，特殊情况除外

both classes Gary Charness taught are of the senior. i will try to persue A's. The difficulty is decision of retaking GRE. time is awkward.
