Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Advertising is the most important cause of unhealthy eating habits.
Nowadays, there are lots of types of advertising around our lives, such as on TV, on newspaper, on the board in the street. Some of them are concerning food, maybe some advertising make bad effect for people’s eating habits. However, in my point of view, the most efficient approach does not concentrate only one aspect, like Advertising, but on several fields, such as people’s time of eating dinner during the work, someone like making a diet in their daily life.
To begin with, as far as I’m concerned, I think advertising is one of reasons that lead the unhealthy eating habits. Usually, the food on advertising is convenient, delicious but not good for health, then people see them on TV and want to taste them. Day by day, they find that this kind of food becomes an indispensable style of their life. Such as, KFC and Mcdonald's, a lot of children like eating them by seeing the advertising on TV.
Secondly, currently, numerous people work in the office who have a little time to eat their dinner. They have no time cooking the dinner, so they could just buy the fast food to eat. And the fast food almost have no nutrition, for instance, the fried chicken, hamburger, vegetables, and some food what must be heated up from icebox. All of them are not good for people’s health.
The last but not the least, in our modern lives, abundant of young men and women thinks that the thinner you are, the more beautiful you are. It is conceivable that they get into the habit of keeping unhealthy eating. For example, a woman eats some bread and drinks some milk in breakfast, afterward she just eats vegetables in lunch, then she eats nothing in the night. Those who attend a party and eat so much are so hungry in their daily lives. As you know, we say that ‘engorgement’.
To sum up, at least it seems to me that the most important cause to effect people’s unhealthy eating habits is a complex, including the advertising, dinner’s lasting time and even changing the conception of healthy is more important than thin. |
