10.7独立~~1031fighting~~!!

I do not support the idea that the only way to the environment conservation is increasing the price of the fuel. While the increasing price can be seen as an efficient way to reduce the usage of fuel in the current time, it does solve the basic problem: how can people survive with the minimum contamination. To that point, the decrease of using automobile, as well as the large using of renewable resource, is necessary.

The air contamination caused by automobile determines that people have to quit using cars. In the United States, the average passenger car emits 5 tones of carbon dioxide, along with smaller amounts of hydrocarbons and nitrogen. To be more exact, carbon dioxide, to a large extend, is blamed for contributing to global warming, which is one of the most concerning environment problems around the world recently. Therefore, instead of increasing the price of the fuel, it is an emergency to control the total number of private vehicle, thereafter reduce this amount. In addition, the unhealthy air we breathe results from those gases. Study shows that the air quality in dozens of metropolitan areas has worsened over the last decade and keeping becoming worse. Consequently, people will tend to use more environmental ways to travel, such as public transportations and bikes.

Apart from the decrease usage of vehicles, the increase using of renewable resource is another solution of the contamination. Due to the severe environment crisis, this industry is regarded both promising and profitable. The policy of government inclines to develop new clean energy source in order to deal with lack of traditional resource and environmental damage. Companies in this field, therefore, are more likely to get both financial and technical aid from the authority, which means they have leverage over the traditional fuels companies and have more chance to survive in the power-market. Furthermore, the public barely criticize it because of its “green color”. Consumers with high education and awareness of the environment are even likely to purchase the product related by renewable energy, no matter what the price is. As a result, the development of renewable resource will be rapid, making the source of contamination reduce dramatically.

In short, price is not always the most useful weapon. In this case, it is efficient to be an addition but a major factor. Still, the arch point is that measures should be taken immediately, or else it would be too late.

10.8作业~~综合先上

The professor in the lecture totally refuted the possibility of the portairt is Austen's, which was a conclusion in the article.

First of all, he pointed out that even the family did authorize the image as Austen's in the letter, as mentioned in the passage, they were unsure either. Due to that Jane Austen had died nearly seventy years, relatives at that time barely met Austen in person, which decreased the reliability of the fact that they recognized the face in the portrait.

Secondly, according to the lecturer, the resemble face with Cassandra in the portrait may belong to a relative of Austen's rather than to Austen. As a huge family, the Austens had a huge number of young girls, who might have a resemble face with Cassandra. In fact, evidences indicated that the girl in portrait was actually Mary Anne Champion, a younger relative of Jane's.

At last, the fact that the portrait was a work of Humphrey is doubtable. As the professor argued, the style of the portrait could not be regarded as a solid proof. In addition, there were evidence showing that the painting had been finished and sold later than the article declaimed. A stappel of canvas, which was found behind the painting, was recognized as one of the selling of William Leg. He started to sell the black canvas in London when Jane Austen was 26 year- old, which made it impossible that the teenage girl in the portrait was Jane herself.

10.8~~独立~感觉写得纠结~~whatever~~求拍咯~~

I do not support the statement that the modern technology has reduced the creation of children. While technology has made some vital changes in our generation, it has a positive effect on children's creation but a negative one.

Technology enables children to reach a farther world than these in the past. Taking the Internet for example, children can find almost anything they are curious about on-line. When a American boy wants to know about panda, all he has to do is going to a search engine website, such as Google.com, and typing the key word in it. Within few seconds, thousands of information ,including how a panda looks like and what a panda eats for lunch, pop out, satisfying his desire of knowledge and curiosity. However, it was a mission impossible 30 years ago, when the technique was not developed enough for common people to use Internet. Having a varied of information, the boy can easily release his creative thoughts. For instance, he may paint a picture about the life of a panda or write story about a panda which knows to fight.
Apart from the broaden horizons that the technology has brought, it offers children a chance to share and discuss their imagination and creation with the world. Taking the Internet as example again, sharing thoughts and creative work with people on the Internet is a commonplace to kids. Say the panda boy finishes his paint, the next thing he will do is properly upload it on his MySpace page or FaceBook page. In this way, his friends are able to appreciate his work, even making comment about it. Therefore, he is inspired to try to improve his skill and paint a better panda later. In this case, the encouragement from the Internet is infinite, so is the boy’s creation. As long as he keeps painting, he may finally success in a real masterpiece.

In short, the influence that had by technology on the children are more positive than we expected. Though it is not perfect, we still rely on it to educate and inspire the next generation. To that point, it is a necessity for kids, especially young ones, to learn to make best use of technology.

10.8~~独立~抱歉改晚了

do not support the statement that the modern technology has reduced the creation(creativity) of children. While technology has made some vital changes in our generation, it has a positive effect on children's creation(creativity) but a negative one(没懂- -).

Technology enables children to reach a farther(further吧~但是further world说法不地道) world than these in the past. Taking(Take就行) the Internet for example, children can find almost anything they are curious about on-line. When a(an) American boy wants to know about panda, all he has to do is going to a search engine website, such as Google.com, and typing the key word in it. Within a few seconds, thousands of information ,including how a panda looks like and what a panda eats for lunch,(删除逗号) pop out, satisfying his desire of knowledge and curiosity. However, it was a mission impossible 30 years ago, when the(删除) technique was not developed enough for(最好改改换个说法) common people to use Internet. Having a varied of information, the boy can easily release his creative thoughts. For instance, he may paint a picture about the life of a panda or write storys about a panda which knows to fight. (没懂- -).

Apart from the broaden horizons that(这个貌似不能做宾语) the technology has brought, it offers children a chance to share and discuss their imagination and creation with the world. Taking the Internet as example again, sharing thoughts and creative works with people on the Internet is a commonplace to kids.(主宾不搭配,应该internet做主语了) Say the panda boy finishes his paint, the next thing he will do is properly upload(to upload) it on his MySpace page or FaceBook page. In this way, his friends are able to appreciate his work, even making comments about it. Therefore, he is inspired to try to improve his skill and paint a better panda later. In this case, the encouragement from the Internet is infinite, so is the boy’s creation. As long as he keeps painting, he may finally success in a real masterpiece(觉得这里success to do 更好).

In short, the influence that had by technology on the children are more positive than we expected. Though it is not perfect, we still rely on it to educate and inspire the next generation. To that point, it is a necessity for kids, especially young ones, to learn to make best use of technology.

dreams never fade
