I will support view of point proposed by the author, and then I will add something to make my thoughts “pure skeptic’. In this uneasy project, I will also mark those great thoughts, such like Popper’s “Falsifiability”.

To bring certain skepticism to whatever they study means to keep skepticism in a certain degree when study. Don’t be too skeptical, or you will not go on doing your research or study, then you will learn nothing. And don’t even accept all, if you don’t think, just accept, that means you emulate, and then you will not improve. As individuals cannot improve, society cannot develop indirectly because society is consisted with individuals. If you study, be skeptical, don’t question everything. If everyone ask why 1plus1 equals 2, there will be no physicist, no chemist, just mathematicians. So, don’t ask too much about math if you study physics; don’t ask too much about linear algebra if you study linear system. Pure skeptic is some one who question about every thing only in his area, and doesn’t care other area, we must be “pure skeptic”.

To keep skeptical can find something wrong, even if something is long accepted. Just like Popper (he write the famous book “Science as Falsification”) uses “Falsifiability” as the demarcation of science, if you are not skeptical, the knowledge will never be falsified, and this knowledge is pseudo-science. All the science can be found something wrong, that’s “Falsifiability” In another word, the knowledge you passively accept is pseudo-science, and the knowledge you be skeptical on is science. Only science makes sense, it can make development, pseudo-science just makes us appreciate it. (if you use a mp3 but don’t know the micro control unit and signal processing the mp3 to you is pseudo-science not science, this means in our normal life, most of knowledge is pseudo-science to ourselves because we don’t be skeptical on them, and only in our research area, knowledge is science) Accepting passively is just emulating and appreciating, cannot make improvement. So we know the benefit of skepticalness.

To keep skeptical can deeply understand the theory. Take elevator as example, invented in the 1900’s, it has now become faster, and more intelligent. Questioning about its speed, dynamic system is improved all the time by the engineers’ effort. Questioning about its intelligence, control theory and control engineering is developed by the scientists’ hard work（such as optimization control, adaptive-control, non-linear system theory）. By skepticizing this: why can the elevator move automatically? Research it all the time, you will completely understand the control theory, be more skeptical you will even learn how to program on the mcu(micro control unit), you can make a change on the algorithm to improve the robustness of the elevator. If you just look at the elevator everyday, appreciate its convenience everyday, and do not think about the theory, as a student of control engineering, you are so failed and you cannot understand the control theory and hardware. Besides, what if the theory that controls the elevator is wrong? It may not go wrong in the most time, but once it goes wrong, the result is unacceptable. So, if theory you study is acceptable, the result is unacceptable. What’s more, the elevator is perfect? Definitely not. You need to improve it. So skepticize it, understand it, improve it, and then even make something or some theory new.
All above in all, keep skeptical makes us deeply understood the truth, accept passively just means emulate or appreciate, that’s means just a pass-by of life, if we want to make the real meaning of life, we must be skeptical.
