因为要正式预约，所以想彻底搞清楚一些自己还不是很清楚的地方，请大家帮忙：
Status in Canada
Passport Type
dependant number
当填到这三项时不太SURE了，到底是怎么回事？还有，第一次选dependant number时就胡乱写了一个，这次选的是9结果出来好大一页“dependant information”让我填，好多人的，填谁啊？如果是填老公，那一个人的资料就够了，怎么会让我“all files must be completed"?

那Passport Type 是regular对吗？（选项有：regular, official, diplomatic, other)
我就是在regular和other之间犹豫，因为觉得其他的不像。
还有Status in Canada，我是应该选VISITOR，还是OTHER呢？（选项有STUDENT,TEMP WORKER,LANDED IMMIGRANT,VISITOR,OTHER,UNKNOWN）

还有我不明白的是我现在在美国，系统为什么说“in Canada"？

If you are a Canadian citizen you do not require a visa to enter the United States. Simply take your documentation and proof of Citizenship and proceed to any U.S. Port of Entry.

Beginning March 17, 2003, ALL landed immigrants in Canada (including those individuals from a British Commonwealth country) seeking to enter the United States as non-immigrants must possess a valid passport and non-immigrant visa in order to enter. Please note that there is no change to the Visa Waiver Program in place for the countries participating in that program.
Note: Appointments are required for ALL visa applicants residing in the Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver districts.


**Residents in Canada must apply in their own consular district**

If you are a temporary visitor to Canada or you are currently working, studying, or visiting the United States, you must obtain an appointment to apply for a visa.

Note: The Visa Appointment Reservation System is intended for use by persons in the U.S. and Canada. Persons physically present in the U.S. or Canada may obtain an appointment and apply for a nonimmigrant visa at one of the U.S. consular posts in Canada. Please be aware that it is generally more difficult for applicants to obtain visas when they apply outside their home country. Consular officers in Canada may be unable to properly assess the circumstances of and/or evaluate foreign documents presented by applicants who are visitors in Canada. In such cases, the consular officer may deny the visa application and recommend that the applicant return to his/her country of normal residence. For this reason, persons applying for F, M, J, H, or L visas, who are presently in the United States on a B (tourist or business) visa or on a visa waiver, are strongly advised to apply for their new visas in the country of their permanent residence.


This is a system for booking non-immigrant visa interviews. Interviews may be booked at the U.S Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, and selected Consulates General in Canada and Mexico.

The fee for using this service is a non-refundable $10.00 CANADIAN, payable by one of the following credit cards :

If you require additional information, please contact the Visa Information Services Center:
