Nowadays, many universities and colleges encourage their teachers to undertake some jobs relevant to their academic courses outside of the school. In fact this method can really bring out a lot of benefits to both the university and the student, such as improving the quality of teachers' instruction, having experience to direct their students' choices of jobs. However, this measure actually has many disadvantages and also leads to some troubles to colleges and students.

First of all, the faculty's knowledge that was learned in their school years is actually very old. Meanwhile, although the content of text books may be more advanced than teacher's knowledge, it is still out out date to some extent. The pace of current world's development is so quick that if the school faculty do not always update their knowledge, they will be left behind the recent achievements of their academic areas. Thus, it is a good way to the university teachers to spend certain time on out-of-school working, of course, the work must be related with their own courses. The teachers could know what is going on recently in his field, such as the latest discoveries or ideas. Also, if he or she intends to achieve something in their outside work, they have to learn the new ideas and knowledge, thus can they competing the all-the -time experts in the work field. At the same time, this could in turn developing their old knowledge and they could impart the new ideas or knowledge to their students when they return to universities or colleges. From this aspect, it is both a good thing to the faculty and the students.

Second, those teachers who have jobs out of the school could know many things about their courses in the business world. For example, they could know what the company's requirement is and what characteristics of the candidates are most prized by the company .Then the teachers could inform these information to their students and it is very significant for the students who want to work in these companies. Moreover, in a larger sense, even those teachers cannot take some direct information about job openings, they still can learn some thing from their own experience, thereby imparting their experience and thinking to the students. Also, they can help their students to choose job careers from a more practical viewpoint. On the other hand, many teachers who actually don't like instructing may leave schools automatically since they have found jobs more suitable to them. This could also help to clean the queue of the faculty at some degree.

Admittedly, this measure also has its disadvantages, for example, it may make the universities loss a large amount of superb teachers. Compared to the teacher's salary, the teachers who are really superior may earn much more money from their out-of-school jobs. Thus many teachers may sacrifice the teaching job when they find this fact. In addition, even though they don't give up the school work for some reasons, it is also very likely that they may spend too much time on their outside work. It is also very unfair and harmful to the students' study since their teachers are distracted by other things.

To sum up, encouraging the faculty to work outside is indeed a good measure no matter to the teachers or students. It could do good to the faculty's instruction and the students' studying and career choosing. However, going too far is as bad as not going far enough. If the faculty forget their original thoughts and spend too much time on outside work, both the students and the universities will meet some troubles. So it is very important to control the faculty's outside working time for the universities.

First of all, the faculty's knowledge that was learned in their school years is actually very old(换成outmoded大概好点). Meanwhile, although the content of text books may be more advanced than teacher's knowledge(这个没有根据), it is still out out date to some extent. The pace of current world's development is so quick that if the school faculty do not always update their knowledge, they will be left behind the recent achievements of their academic areas(原文不是说outside the academic world吗,这里最好不要强调academic). Thus, it is a good way to(for) the university teachers to spend certain time on out-of-school working, of course, the work must be related with their own courses. (也不一定是专门抽出一段时间去工作,我感觉应该是兼职工作的的意思) From this aspect, it is both a good thing to the faculty and the students.

Second, those teachers who have jobs out of the (the 去掉)school could know many things about their courses in the business world.(改成job market 好些) For example, they could know what the company's requirement is and what characteristics of the candidates are most prized by the company. Then the teachers could inform these information to their students and it is very significant for the students who want to work in these companies. This could also help to clean the queue of the faculty (这个词组大概有些不合适)at some degree.

Admittedly, this measure also has its disadvantages, for example, it may make the universities loss(lose)a large amount of superb teachers.

If the faculty forget their original thoughts (有些不恰当)and spend too much time on outside work, both the students and the universities will meet some troubles. So it is very important to control the faculty's outside working time for the universities.

文章结构清晰,说理也不错。但是有不少地方用词和用法不当,用的时候最好先查一查,虽然很费时间,但是积累一些到考场上应该是有帮助的。
