Does the study of history have value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives? The statement, to a certain degree, narrows the realms history involves. I generally concede that since history is the record and interpretation of past things and actions of human, history has great significance in understanding our daily life , however, in the field of physical science and economics history also assumes an active role in the growth of these fields.


The study of history provides us a useful insight and valuable guide to our life. For one thing, the study of great achievement of outstanding people offers us inspirations. Learning the stories of Madam Curie, Einstein, Hawking, the students might become interest in the physic world, which
drives them to pursue a career about physics. This decision, in turn, has a potential influence on one’s daily life. He might no longer addict in playing computer games, but shows stronger passion on the study and motivation to succeed. For another thing, past lends us experience to solve today’s issues. We should respect the equal rights of every people in the world no matter what color he is. The discrimination of different races and religions would lead to the confusion of a society or even a war, such as Hitler’s massacre of Jews in World War Two, a great disaster in human’s history.


The value of history, however, should not only limit to our daily life, in the realm of physical science the study of history can help us secure inspiration and experience. For instance, Stephen Hawking make a revolutionary explanation about the beginning of the universe and propose the “Big Bang ” theory which is built on the research of Einstein's theory of relativity and Newton's classic law of physics. The research of nuclear weapon should be cautious and taken seriously, because we have witnessed the tremendous disasters nuclear weapon brings to the people of Japan with a hundred and thousand of people losing their lives and being deformed. So as for the issue of Iran‘s secretive research of nuclear weapon must be prohibited in a strong way. Otherwise the researches succeed, it would expose a great threat over the whole world.


Considering the word of ecnomics the study of history is particularly important and essential to a stable and booming condition of global economics. After all, the development of the world's
economy are full of unknown
and uncontrollable factors , the lessons from history give us valuable experience and measures to tackle with the pressing issues of today. For example, the global economical crisis of 2008 has made the world in a stagnate economic condition. The reason for this crisis is easily obtaining the loan of housing without a strict considering evaluation of the probable results. And China must take this crisis as a lesson to prevent the foam of real estate ,especially when the price of house is staggeringly high in the present. Also, the history of planned economy in China tells us that the carrying of planned economy cannot make China get rid of poverty and backward, only carrying out
a mixed economy
combined with
planned economy and market economy would the living standards of Chinese promote


In sum, although the study of history have benefits to our daily life, we cannot ignore the role of history in the realms of physical science and economics. In fact, the history is a mirror of the past, what is the most significant lies on how we treat with it and what we have learned from it ,but should not be limited to a certain field.
