this is my first essay.
businesses should hire employees for their entire lives.do you agree or disagree?use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
In recent years,with the fast development of economic and technology,the employment strain has become drastically serious.Some people are fired because they cannot catch up with rapid technology innovation,even they have served for their company for ten years or more.Majority of such unemployees cannot get their next job immediately,as a result,these peolpe have to face the danger of starvation and exposure.Consequently,a increasing number of employees maintain that their companies should hire them for their entire lives.As for me,I can hardly agree with this argument.
There is no denying that hiring employees for their entire lives will have a negtive impact on company's efficiency.If employees were hired for their entire lives,there would be not enough vacant positions for other freshmen.Consequently,advanced skills and technology such as telecommunication and internet serch skills e.t.c. which will promote empolyees' work efficiency cannot be absorbed by the company.However,their oppoenets,these companies do the same region,who will recruit the freshmen at a rapid speed,will absorb the cutting-edge technology then enhance their empolyee' efficiency,as a result,they will overcome their opponents.The lifelong hiring will obstacle the development of company.
Lifelong hiring not only harm the company's efficiency but also would affect the company's finance condition.A good case in point is my brother Tomy's software company.Ten years ago,his company had 1,000 employees and was schduled by a great deal of cases which need to be composed by c language from many world famous american and japanese outsource companies.Every profrssional programmer
who are proficient in c language had a salary of 100,000 yuan per year,which was twice of the salary of the average workers at that time.However,two years later,most of cases need to be composed by java,rather than c language.Only a few of employees have been trained java in Tomy's company,most of fund have been invested on learning c language.As you can image,his company can not finish the job on time,even worse,the foreign outsource companies are not satisfacted with the quanlity of the software.Eventually,his company collapsed because most of
empolyees were only skilled in c language.
Last but not least,if employees are hired for their entire lives,most of them would not be willing to update their skills immediately.If you had a
lifelong job,what else would you worry about your life?Because even though i am not good at my job,the company will not fire me,and i will have enough money to live under a basic life.Even though i devoted my life to the job,i would not be promoted immediately and my colleages would gibe me for my hard work.
Admittedly,lifelong hiring has some possitive impact on both the companies and empolyees.The employees will have constant partners which make them easy to communicate,and teamwork spirit will be conctructed in the company.Another advantage is that it help to cultivate the employees' fidelity to the company,and employer and employees will have a harmoney relationship.
However,from what have been discussed above,i can safely draw a conclusion that the disadvantage of lifelong hiring outweigh its advantage.If the company has bankrupted,well work relationship and company's team spirit can not be valued as it is thought before.(506)
