Perhaps nothing, we have been told, is more controversial in the domain of psychology than the debate over the importance of children socialization and the better way to raise children. I, strongly agree with the speaker, am inclined to the view that future of society is mostly determined by the way how children are socialized today. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned the way to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

Children Socialization, broadly defined as the general process by which children adopt the behavior patterns of the culture that surrounds them, has a long history. Human infants, born without any behavior patterns, must be transformed by their parents, teachers, and others into social and cultural humans. During socialization, we learn the core value of the culture we are born into as well as the roles we are to play in life. We, having gone through socialization process, would judge what is right or wrong by the way we have been taught. All of the judgments would decide the future of our society, like war or peace, rich or poor, democracy or autarchy etc. For instance, if children grown up in the environment most people who do not like violent, aggressive individuals, even avoid them whenever possible. They, facing the conflicts with other, would be never ready to start a war, while seek to negotiate and keep peace instead. This can be aptly exemplified and illustrated by the case of Switzerland, a country remained neutral in the two World Wars (due to foundation of their culture is peace-loving which forms the right socialization).

Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to educate children who can help bring about a better society. Firstly, the definition of a better society is unclearly, even contradictive as human being are divided by ethnic and racial antagonisms, gender, conflicting religious perspectives, occupational differences, political party loyalties and disagreements over tactics. For children, it is impossible to build up something that is ambiguous and contradictive.

Even assuming that better society means a society well development and being able to bring all human beings with happiness, we still have no idea to how to solve many problems which is very important to build up a better society. Take a extremely example, the City of God (CG), a famous slum in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. CG is a place where police corruption, drugs, violence and gang wars are explored. Although every government claim that they would solve those problem completely, no one has ever find the solution to this problem, some even make more trouble. Without the experience, even the answer, how can we teach our children to solve the problems like City of God and create the better society?

Admittedly, we have not yet know how to raise children to bring about a better society, children with well-socialize，I believe, are able to find the way independently. With well education in culture and history, they can based on the previous experience and create a new way to build up a better society.
