Topic:Science and technology have brought great changes to our lives. Some people think the work of artists such as musicians, painters and writers should still be valued. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

When we came to this world, we enjoyed the convenience and comfort science and technology have brought to us. As we are growing up with the development of aesthetics, arts such as music, paintings and literatures are playing mounting paramount roles in our lives. These works created by artists provide pleasure to public, as well as reflect human society, furthermore, the ideas and concepts hidden behind the art works are educational.

Without offering some inventions that make our daily life more convenient and effective, artists focus on the spirit and soul of human beings. That is to say, art is a kind of release of individual lust, converting the human libido into plentiful creativity. Beethoven’s fabulous work “Fate symphony” is the last word on human endurance, which inspires promotion of mankind and expecting for a thriving life.

Besides, arts reveal society's hidden ideas and impulses. When we connect the art works with realities, art works should be valued due to reflecting human society to some extent. The “Human Comedy” by Balzac is a full panoply of society. Van Gogh’s “Potato eager” is a revelation of existential angst on a societal level, making us being aware of the living conditions of the poor, which reminds us paying more attention to struggling for impartiality.
Sometimes, the art works are didactic by helping us to know the reality of the society and realize the deleterious consequences caused by some actions, then after which, we admire the true, the good and the beautiful, and shape our behaviors with the standards above. One telling example involves that Shakespeare’s Macbeth teaches us that inordinate ambition is pernicious, thus, a myriad of these stories planted in people’s minds, the immoral and criminal problems in the society might be mitigated.

The last but not the least, even if we think of art as isolated from the rest of life, we still must turn to architects to design buildings with important functions. We still value design in furniture and other useful everyday objects, and want monuments to honor our heroes. Visual effects in movies astound us, well-designed Web pages appeal to us, and gorgeous images in advertising persuade us.

The methods and materials linking to the development of science and technology have changed dramatically, but art is still very much a part of our lives.

To conclude, art concerning with the inner world rather than with the outside one. The art works are ought to be valued as the inner world of a man is of particular importance.
