Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? All university students should take basic science courses, regardless of their field of concentration.

When we enter the university, we are asked to choose our interest area as our major. There are all kinds of areas like chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, economics, and you name it. While, after choosing one field, it doesn’t mean that you can just focus on the one subject regardless of the other basic science courses. It is wise for the students to learn both basic science and major courses because the basic science plays an essential part in our concentrated field and life, and our field of concentration could make us go through with more achievements.（最好在开头就明确提出自己的观点 agree or disagree）

First of all, the basic science courses are other subjects’ fundament. It means that, our concentration area can’t live without such basic knowledge like mathematics, physics, literature, and so forth. If you are an expert in computer science, you must be good at mathematics. The reason is that many complex programs need the basic mathematics. What’s more, the architects also should grasp basic physics theories in order to avoid some serious mistakes in construction buildings, especially the skyscrapers. These examples are numerous. So every student should take the basic science courses.(例子举得很贴切呢，我写的时候就是没想到这些个例子)

Secondly, the basic science is necessary in our daily life no matter who you are. Every human should have certain common sense which we can gain from reading newspapers, watching televisions, as well as communicating with others. All these activities require the basic science knowledge like literature. For instance, if you want to travel to a foreign country, the first thing you need to do is to buy a flight ticket which requires you surf online and pay by you credit card. The prerequisite of this purchasing is also what we can learn from basic science courses such as reading and computer knowledge.

Finally, it is much easier for the students to gain more achievements and goals by concentrating in a certain area. Because they are interested in this area, they will feel self-satisfactory to go on the research and this is also kind of happiness to them. In this aspect, it is no doubt that they can work through with more achievements and inventions. Moreover, during the certain research project, they can also make friends who share the same interest as them on campus.（这段是在说专业的重要性，恩……）

Generally speaking, every student needs to learn the basic science courses and their major classed. Both of them can bring benefits to their life.



首先，分析题目，我认为题目的意思是：大学的学生should or should not 该还是不该学习basic science course, 你的重点是学生该怎样对待basic science course, 我审题的关键词是：should,你的关键词是:regardless,我认为这个regardless是要表明不论什么专业的同学都应该take basic science course.
