ISSUE 112(教育)
Some educational systems emphasize the development of students' capacity for reasoning and logical thinking, but students would benefit more from an education that also taught them to explore their own emotions.

1，首先，逻辑思维对自然科学的学习很重要，特别是数学，物理和工程等学科。即便是对艺术来说，逻辑思维也非常重要。无论是艺术家还是作家，即便他们首要关心的是创作灵感，但是他们也必须通过逻辑能力去学习基本的知识和方法。
The capacity of logical thinking and reasoning is very critical in nature science, especially in mathematics, physics and engeering. Even in art, logical thinking is so important that students must learn theories and techniques which they apply to their craft.

2，其次，情商教育有助于想象力和创造力的培养，不仅对社会科学有帮助，同时对自然科学也非常有帮助。情商教育有助于丰富一个人的性格，提高人的全面素质和道德层次。情商教育有利于兴趣的培养，能够激发人们对自然科学的兴趣和潜力。
Education of emotions will benefit the creation of imagination and creativity. Not only can it benefit to social sciences, but also to sciences. It could inspire one's interest in developing the capacity of reasoning and logical thinking, there by promoting traditional education indirectly.

3，当前的教育忽视了情商的教育，过分的强调逻辑思维的培养和发展，这样势必会导致学生的性格和道德品质的缺陷，对于学习和未来事业兴趣的缺乏和创造性的缺乏。
Nowadays, the curent education negelect the emotion health instead of overemphasizing the development of student's capacity for reasoning and logical thinking.  This undoubtedly results in serious problems such as lack of creativity, introversion, or eccentricity.

4，总之，情商教育和逻辑思维两者都要重视，都要发展。只有两者都发展才能促进学生的健康发展。
To sum up, while we may emphasize one aspect of education of logic we should not completely ignore the other aspect. An educational system should establish a balance between educating intelligence and emotions.


ISSUE 73(学习)
In most academic and professions field, imagination is more important than knowledge.

1，想象力是创新的源泉，并且在学术领域创造了新的思想和发现。尤其对于艺术领域来说，没有了想象力，艺术的价值也就不复存在。比如梵高从不拘泥于眼睛看到的东西，而是充分的运用了想象力，灵活的色彩，使其创造了太阳花在内的很多著名的作品。
Imagination is the resources of creativity, and can bring about new ideas and discoveries in most professions and academic fields，especially in art. Without imagination, there would be no art.  For instance, Van Gough, one of the greatest painters because of his profound influence on modern art, just used colors freely by his imagination in order to express himself with more power, instead of trying to copy what he had before his eyes.

2，但是，我们不能忽视知识的重要性。知识是技术，缺乏知识这个基础，想象也只能是不切实际的空想。
At the same time, we should not ignore the importance of knowledge. Knowledge lays the foundation for advanced research. Without knowledge, imagination is only a beautiful dream and in most cases would not put into practice.

3，总的来说，知识与想象同等重要，二者相辅相成，缺一不可。
To sum up, wide knowledge and a lively imagination can bring to people fruitful achievement. Without knowledge, imaginatio would remain only a  beautiful dream and not become reality. Without imagination, knowledge is lika a bird that has lost its wings, which as a result loses its energy, becomes dull and develops slowly.

Issue 129(科技)
Technology is a necessory not always a positive force in modern life.

,1，科技的发展提高了人们的生活水平和舒适度。我们的祖先从山洞住进了高楼都是因为科技的进步。另外，科技发明使人们节省体力，提高工作效率。并且，医学的发展使人们能够对抗疾病的威胁，是人能健康生活。
The technology development enhances the standard of living and comfort level of both developed and developing nations. Ancistents moved from the cave to manmade block building which provides both safety and comforty. And technology creates the materialist world filled with various product that fulfill every need of humanity and the boundless sea of informantion satisfied humans spiritual world. Moreover, it is the technology innovations and advances that liberate humans from ardous physical working buren and greating improved the working efficiency. For instance, automation technology with labor-saving machinary or even labor-replacing machinary, such as washing machine, augments the efficiency and time-saving which makes people life more comfortable. The breakthroughs in biology and medical science are keeping to unravel the mysteries of life, holding our new hope of lifesaving cures to some of our dreaded diseases.

2，但是另外一方面，科技发展也给人类和自然带来了巨大的伤害，比如化石能源的枯竭，环境的污染（温室效应和臭氧层消耗等），严重威胁人类的生存和生态系统的平衡。
However, technology is not always a positive force in modern life and one harmful byproduct of tehcnology progress is environmental pollution. With the development of industry,  resources are exploitd for power and raw materials and are stretched to the limit. Factroies dump large amount of solid waste, sewage and poison gases to the earth, river and atomsphere respectively, which result in dissertification and even disappearence of forests and pasture land, extinction of certain species of animals.What is worse, during the past decade, depletion of Ozon layer and Globle Warming has attracted great attention across over the world which would have a detrimental effect on human life.

3，总的来说，科技并没有好坏之分，关键在于人们怎么利用。只要人类合理的利用科技就不会对人类和环境造成危害。
To be conclude, technology is neutral and whether it is a negative or positive force depond upon the application of human. Neclear energy is able to supply electricity sustaining after the depletion of fossile fuels because of high power density and extent reserves. On the other side, it could deteriorate the Earth from atomic bomb. In addition, throughout human civilization, problems that seemed insurmountable at the time were addressed by the technology development even if problems through the history have become more complex as human knowledge has become more complex. Increased technology has coused continously more complex problems which at the same time better tools to solve those problems.


Argument

ARGU9
" The following appeared in a momorandum from a dean at Omega University.
Fifteen years ago, Omega University implemented a new procedure that encouraged students to evaluate the teaching effctiveness of all their professors. Since that time, Omega professors have begun to assign higher grades in their class, and overall student grade averages at Omega have risen by thirty percent. Potential employers apparently believe the the grades at Omega are inflated; this would explain why Omega graduates have not been as successful at getting jobs as have graduates form nearby Alpha University. To enable its graduate to secure better jobs, Omega University should now terminate student evaluation of professors.

1, Infation of grades in Omega university does not completely resulted from the student evaluation of professors, and it may because the teaching quality increased.教授给学生分数的增加不一定就是学生评价老师引起的。
2, There are numerous factors that would affect the employment rate, such as major and the economical condition, etc.就业率下降不一定就是学生评分引起的，毫无根据。
3, There is no details of Alpha University that why it employment rate is higher than Omega University.Alpha University就业率高并没有说就是没有搞学生评分，有可能是专业，教师水平和学生的能力等因素导致的。

The following appeared in a memo from the mayor of the town of West Egg.
Two years ago, our consultants predicted that West Egg's landfill, which is used for garbage disposal, would be completely filled within five years. During the past two years, however, town residents have been recycling twice as much aluminum and paper as they did in previous years. Next month the amount of material recycled should further increase, since charges for garbage pick up will double. Furthermore, over ninety percent of the respondents to a recent survey said they would do more recycling in the future. Because of our resident's strong commitment to recycling, the available space in our landfill should last for considerably longer than predicted.

1, The aluminum and paper recycled does not means the amount of garbage descented.铝和纸回收减少并不代表垃圾总量的减少。
2, THere is no evidence show that the amount of garbage would decreased as the charges for garbage pickusp doubled.垃圾回收费用的提高与垃圾总量减少并无明显关系。
3, The survey that shows 92% will do more recycling in the future is doubtable. Moreover, life garbage is not the only resources of waste, and factories would produce large amount of wastes as well. 调查92%居民表示减少垃圾，但是垃圾并不完全是有居民倾倒的，还有可能是工厂。
