Nowadays, there is a public controversy concerning the issue that whether the human mind will always be superior to machines. Some people claim that since the machines are only tools of mankind, they will always be inferior to us. As far as I am concerned, however, I disagree with this claim for some obvious reasons.

Admittedly, at the present time, men have creative thinking and emotional sensibility so that machines are inferior to mankind in this way. All machines, no matter how powerful, are created by human beings. Human being can produce machines that are more powerful than them but machines have no creative ability so that they just can only performed according to our orders. On the other hand, machines don't have the emotional world, which is another difference from human beings. We understand what is love and we love our family, our country. And we would like to try our best to make our society more harmony.

However, in most areas the machines of our day will surpass human beings. For instance, a specially designed computer program can solve a complex equation in a moment while we have to work it out for several days with pen and paper. The assemble-line can work in a high efficiency and keep on working for days or even months without any need for rest, which no human individual could ever dreamed of. Moreover, In 1997, a supercomputer called Deep Blue won a match against a reigning world chess champion with regulation time controls. In this sense, man cannot never surpass machines in doing many technical jobs.

Furthermore, with the development of artificial intelligence(AI), it is entirely possible that in the near further the machines can surpass human being in almost every field. Machines, especially computers are developing in a tremendous rate today, no one can rule out the possibility that machines can possess logical thinking, generate emotional feeling. By then, our advantages will be gone because of our greedy, lazy and jealous. Perhaps human being will be defeated by the machines and eventually dominated by them as the movie <matrix> described.

For the reasons mentioned above, I hold that even we are manipulating machines nowadays, machines will exhibit the traits to which we human attribute our own superiority soon or latter. Therefore, the speaker`s claim that the human mind will always be superior to machines will turn out to be wrong.
