貌似他们院的人都很高兴PSU的地位提高了 :D
之前有听很多人说NRC排名比USNEWS权威可靠的多...后者毕竟是年年都要出的商业化排名。
虽然今年的申请已经快结束了..还是供大家参考一下吧，希望对以后申统计的同学有用！

> I actually downloaded the NRC spreadsheet the other day.  If you'recurious, here are the "S" rankings (see Norm's email below) for Penn Statestatistics:  5th percentile = 5th out of 61, 95th percentile=14th out of61.  There are 61 programs on the list of "statistics and probability"programs in the "physical and mathematical sciences" category, mostlystatistics but also a handful with "bio" in the names (however, it seems thatmost biostats programs are on a separate list).

NRC only make a ranking every 10 years becauseit costs a lot of money, and also consider around 20 factors such as funds,papers,  alumni students' job positions and so on.  In addition, theymake ranking for every major by scientific methods such as quartile because itinvolves around many factors, and different university do have differentranking for each factor.
