What differ us as human beings from wild animals are high reasoning, logical thinking abilities, self awareness and
emotion management. While the function of an efficient education system are passing students science knowledge,
critical thinking as well as methods of emotion management. Consequently, to fully educate students, the education
should not only including fostering of logical reasoning but also training of emotion control. To illustrate the importance
of emotion education, I shall present my reasons below.

Emotion, as a nature part of human beings, is essentially significant to every individual. For it has both positive and
negative effect on our behaviors. Fully understanding one's own joy, sorrow, hope and love, one would be able to
avoid the negative effects while choose to be healthy mentally. High moral state could greatly raise one's efficiency
and performance. A joyful employee is more likely to concentrate on his/her work and make fewer mistakes. Besides,
positive attitude is critical when we try to go through hardship in our lives. For instance, the famous American president,
Abraham Lincoln could just commit suicide when he failed several times in election, or later became liable for a $1,000
debt at age 23, or later suffered from the death of his fiancée but he didn't. He conquered all these miserable strikes
due to the never-give-up spirit and positive attitude. Enormous scientists and inventors could have quitted before they
made their discoveries and inventions without controlling their emotions and being mentally healthy. Thus teaching
students to explore their own emotions and know the way to control them are crucial for their future life and well-being.

However, compare to positive effect of emotions, the negative side is worthy much more attention. For it could do much
more damages and destruction to us. Under the overwhelming globalization and industrialization, people are suffer from
great pressure which cause many kinds of mental illness such as anxiety, insomnia and even personality disorder and
paranoia. Increasing suicide cases, violent crimes among students indicates the urgent need of emotional education.
On the other hand, emotion sometimes could affect our logical judgment. For example, lawyers and judges could incline
to those who seem to be weak colonies out of sympathy or empathy. This is a situation where we are supposed to be
fair logically and have no influence by our emotions.

At the last analysis, we would be remiss if we forget to emphasis too much emotional education is misleading. Since we
still need logical reasoning to cope with everyday affair. Being irrational would make us vulnerable to cheatings and even
commit crime due to fiercely emotional motivation. Thus to gain a balance between logical and emotional education would
be most beneficial and that's the purpose of education itself.
