People’s opinions are divergent on such a complex issue. To put it in another way, when the government issupervised by the civilian, it would consider more to insure the civilian’s safety,convenience, as well as their happiness. In Plato’s theory, a harmony societyis constituted of workers, soldiers and leaders. The government acts as theleaders which has the duty to educate soldiers and workers. From thepersonal perspective, another essential factor why I advocate the applicationof electronic one relates to the realm of the media. No one deny the fact thatthe media’s overseeing makes the government take more caution. Media—the mostpervasive and persuasive of modern technologies, marked by rapid change andgrowth—is moving into a new era, an era of extraordinary sophisticate andversatility, which promises to reshape our lives an our world. As aconsequence, it is imperative of such an electronic government. Let’s bring ourdiscussion here to a more practical context, according to recent survey, we canestimate that 78.49% of the countries which adopt electronic government.

However,admittedly, we should concede that despite the demerits of the electronicgovernment mentioned above, it is undisputed that excessive emphasis over the policy benefitscivilians, the government’s power of executing is reduced. The harm it producesis, in my view, both probable and profound. For the government, it has debasingimpact on their policies; for the society, it may promote the improvements ofthe awareness that the country belongs to the people, all the profits deserveto the majority. To successfully curb such unfavorable trends,several efficacious steps should be taken into consideration seriously. In thefirst place, we should appeal to the government to work out relevantregulations to constitute an electronic government system. In the second place,we should cultivate and enhance people’s awareness that the government worksfor the majority and not all the time it could work as the will of theindividual. From what I have discussed above, we may safelycome to the conclusion that the electronic government cater to the needs of amodern society, not only because the majority’s idea should be feedback to theleaders, but also because the primary result of part of the countries makes theapplication cheerful, but it depends on the political quality of the majority.
