The speaker contends that people should obey just laws while disobey and resist the unjust ones.There is no doubt that every individial has to obey the just laws, but the statement that people should disobey and resist unjust laws is unwarranted.  Everyone have to obey the laws, and if we find the laws unfair or unjust, the appropriate way to solve the problem is to show our opinions in a formal and peaceful way but not resist the laws abruptly.

A fair, just and reasonble law is necessary in modern society and everyone should obey it. Laws play an important role in keeping the orders of a society so that in order to make the society stable and keep everything going on well, people need to obey the laws. The statement minds us the laws about human rights. Human rights is protected by laws, so that everyone should obey the laws to respect the human rights and the government has a responsibility to protect the human rights of its citizens. In addition, let's take the laws about environment protection as another example. Natural environment is vital for human beings and as to protect the environment more effectively, relevant laws should be adopted and all the people, companies and other social oganizations have to obey the laws or the protection of environment is not strongly supported.

However, as laws are just used to keep the orders of a society, sometimes it is not appropriate to evaluate whether a law is just or unjust. The laws of transportation, for instance, are important to keep the order of the transportation of a city but it does not make any sense to say they are just or unjust. Similarly, it is impossible to say that the laws and rules which determine the age of marriage, the interest rates or the height of buildings in the downtown are just or unjust. Therefore, since not all the laws can be defined as "just laws" or "unjust laws", every individual should obey the laws or the society will be in chaos. Moreover, values and judgements vary from one to another, so different people have differnt definition of "just" and "unjust", so if everybody just disobey the laws that are "unjust" in their thoughts, a lot of problems and conflicts will appear and it is impossible to achieve the goal of a harmonious society.

If people find the laws out-of-date or unfair, the best way to solve the problem is to show their suggestions  peacfully and urge the legislation departments to make some changes about the lines of the law. For instance, if the standard of commercial compensation need to be changed along with the development of the economy and the trade of a city, workers can make their voice heard by peaceful protesting or ask the media for help. After the legislation departments knowing the facts, a new and more reasonble law which can better protect the rights and profits of workers will come out soon. And if the workers just resist the current laws, it is more difficult for them to achieve their goals.

In a word, everyone should obey the laws and it is illegal to resist so-called "unjust laws". Without obeying laws, the society will not be harmonious and people can not live a life with security and fairness.
