题目：Governments should spend a lot of money exploring outer space.


我的文:

The earth lies among the solar system and it is so miniscule compared to the colossal universe. Our knowledge on cosmos is extremely limited. There remain tremendous questions to be solved and unknown fields to be explored. I believe it has profound significance for human beings to learn about outer space and it is indispensable for governments to invest enough money in the researches on the outer space.

Firstly, the scale of knowledge base of cosmos represents the advance of human society. If only we human beings have a more advanced theory and a more sophisticated machine, there could be the good odds for us to know the outer space better. It is because of the existence of deficiency of the knowledge on the outer space that people get the motivation for the study on the world which is mysterious and uncertain. Or rather, it prompts the improvement of science.

Secondly, we can avoid potential disasters brought by the outer place if the governments spend money exploring outer place for a better recognition of it. For instance, we can detect these asteroids which pose a threat to the earth with their probabilities hitting the earth. Also we can find these kinds of asteroids timelier and locate them more accurately.

Thirdly, if the earth's environment becomes worse along the way, then it stands any chance that we can move to other planets to live in. In other words, by the realization for the environment of other planets, we can choose to the proper planet and get there by a spacecraft.

Admittedly, the governments' subsidy will have some negative effects on the domestic economy. The government has to increase the taxes to balance the meets. At the same time, with less investment in the field like education, entertainment, it will undermine the quality of the life of people. But, as long as the governments can make a proper budget and work out a more practical plan, the problem will be solved.
