I can partly agree with the statement that the study of history has value relevant to our daily lives in some degree. The experience of the past can enlighten us and guide us to a bright future. However, it is obvious that history can not only impact on our daily lives, but also have some great influence on other aspects.

There is no doubt that history is just like a teacher, who can tell us the correct direction we should follow. We should admit that we can learn a lot from the past, and studying the history plays an important role today. Confucius, the famous philosopher and educationist of China, his valuable words are always lasting in our heart and we keep the ancestors’ elite norms in mind to be a person with gracious, polite, sincerity to our friends and filial piety. Furthermore, history has numerous impacts to this modern society. We can learn from the past and make a great progress based on the old. As we all know, Watt invented the famous steam engine in 1871, who was inspired by the trains since the trains moved too slow at that time. It can reveal from the fact that history can provide us some valuable enlightenment, and motivate us to establish a better society. We can clearly summarize that history really has great value to our society today.

Whether learning history has some great value related to our daily lives? We can learn a lot relying on the experiences in the past. Without studying from the way to cultivate and the suitable conditions for planting from the old, how can our agriculture have such a great change range from the past to today? Or perhaps we can fumble all these things by ourselves, but I can hardly imagine the degree of the development of agriculture today. So the ancestors record a plenty of experiences and facts which can help us go straight forward to our purpose. Besides, the well-known four striking inventions, powder, papermaking, printing, and compass, invented by forefather of China have closely connection with our daily lives. Can our students learning without books? Can we appreciate the fantastic fireworks during some significant festivals? Can we walking for adventure lack of the compass? So we cannot deny the value of study history which has great relationship to our daily lives.


However, although we admit that studying of history is indispensible to our daily lives, we cannot assert that studying the history is only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives. History still has some other more precious value we can learn from, such as the terrible disturbance in Egypt, which is overturn the regulars we should obey from the old to today. The failure of First Qin Emperor is due to the tyranny of the government, people will never willing to live in a country filled with hungry, and sorrow. On the contrary, looking back to Tang Dynasty, people in that period live with happiness, love and possess authorities belong to them, which contribute to make a strong, stable, and longer times in the history of China. The experiences of the history are always telling us that people are always longing for the equality no matter what era people live. The over-excessive injustice of a society will make people fight for their rights. We can surely conclude that history has sufficient experiences and ideas we should learn so that we should study the past from all aspects.

To sum up, there is no doubt that history has some great effective to our society today and we admit that the value of the past has some essential value to our daily lives. However, the indispensible value of the daily lives cannot represent the study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives and ignoring other aspects.
