As the speaker said, learning the ideas, trends, and concepts about the facts could be better to help us memory the ones indeed. However, I disagree the suggestion from the claim that there is no other way to remember facts apart from the way motioned above.
Admittedly, to understand and master the ideas, trends, and concepts of knowledge will find the good way to remember very much and learn the facts profoundly and in turn acquire knowledge. if a student didn’t learn the concept of mathematical formula, maybe he would finish some simple problems but he mustn’t solve some more difficult ones. A renowned Russian writer Maxim Gory have said, Being reluctant to think, unwilling to study intensively and under-stand deeply and being complacent and satisfied at negligible knowledge all are the cause of poor intelligence, which can be germen as "foolish". In some cases, knowing the concept of the facts is more efficient than the rote memorization that only study the ones themselves.
Did we should study the concept or ideas about the facts all over the world before we memory the facts? Of course not, as we know, the majority of English words originate from other countries’ language such as French, German, Greek and so on. Indeed knowing the headstream of these words will contribute us to remember these words penetratingly, but not all the words need us to know ins and outs of them, and it will waste much time to some people, especially the beginner. As the example above, during infant time, remembering the more words from the outside, the more quickly a study talent of baby will be improved. The way is more effective than the one to just import a word and other messages around the one into baby’s brain. In fact, the method is of little benefit to the novice. Because they should have rote memorization of some fundamental element in some subjects such as chemistry, geography, and etc to familiarity with these subjiects , before we deep into the knowledge.

Moreover, I can’t afford a consequence to neglect the blind following to study the concepts or ideas about the facts, which is depicted by the invention or author with limited knowledge. One telling example involves my uneasiness about the theory of geocentric system. After all, in the era of low level in science, the mass follow to studying so-called true concept about the geocentric system. If there had were no a Polish called Copernicus, who advanced the theory that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun and disrupted the geocentric system supported by Christian church, the astronomy would stay the same and have no such significant breakthrough in human history. We could learn concepts or ideas about the facts, but not confide the theory absolutely.

To sum up, we should distinguish what is important to learn from what is trivial and choose the suitable way to study the facts. Of course, on the basis of that the ideas, trends, concept about the fact is true, otherwise we should have our independent judgment.

At first grasp of the speaker's claim that the absence of choice is a rare circumstance, we could find the suggestion that everyone has their real choice no matter what or when. I agree both of them above.

For the individual person, we could make the personal selection in most cases apart from gork and other extreme examples. Yet, there may be a majority of people with the objection that they can’t choose their lives such as a beautiful face, healthy body or the family of outstanding background. Nevertheless, they ignore that the real fate is rest in their selection. Some renowned people in history set a great example by their action: Helen Keller, who never hear a great sound nor see a wonderful scenery, made a decision to throw her all limited life in the undertakings of disabled people and bestow the world a gift what to treasure; Martin Luther King, Jr, who had no choice of his colour, committed himself to the Black People Civil Rights Movement; Oprah Winfrey, who were born in a bad home and had an unhappy childhood, determined to turn her past terrible life to success. We couldn't choose the favorable material conditions indeed, but we could determine what our soul is.

For a society, which is organized by various kinds of people, it seems that the steps of society was pushed by a secret driving force and then everyone is a pinion in the wheel of history. As motion above, a phrase once famous among us is that a hero is nothing but a product of his time. Is it really true that we have no choice but adjust to society? The answer is no, indeed French Revolution products a great man of the time called Napoleon, however we couldn’t overlook a matter of factness that Napoleon is elected as a leader by the populace of Paris. In the final analysis, the fate of society is also on our hands.

Of course, I couldn't afford a consequence to neglect a truth, especially in the science area, there is only the verity so that no one can change the old one, which is sempiternal in nature. One telling example illustrated the theme is the law of nature. According the principle of conservation of resources, we have no capability to invent an eternal engine, but we can contrive the effective one by great effort to reduce the friction and heat. Even if we have no choice to change the objective and scientific laws, we could elect the higher effective way by taking full advantage of them.

To sum up, despite most of time we may have no choice because of the depression derived the real life and the nature laws are never be changed by our subjective consciousness, fortune is grasped by own hands and we could turn on scientific rules to create a better life.

TOPIC: ISSUE25 - "Anyone can make things bigger and more complex. What requires real effort and courage is to move in the opposite direction-in other words, to make things as simple as possible."
As the improvement of science and complexity of human mental situation, the society bring about a reality claimed by the speaker that anyone can make things bigger and more complex indeed. However I don't agree the assertive measure supported by the speaker that we should make things as simple as possible.

Admittedly, faced to the flare of messages like the eruption of volcano in society today, the public, like Alice who is lost in the secret garden, feels dizzy in the swirl: there is the bewilderment that underpins much public response to modern such as so-called the active art, and the final feeling of the public to the advancement of art is a suspicious of art works' sincerity, of the viewer being "conned", instead of the traditional sincere enjoyment to the beautiful paintings in the era of Renaissance. And during daily time our choices are so many that still in the confliction among various things on display. Then fearful that out of style, that wasting time on some innocuous popular novels, that squandering much expense on a new carpet cleaner that just looks good in the paddock, so that most people will convince the advertising. Yet, a barrage of advertisement confuses them to choose. It seems that people always produce a majority of so dazzling fittings that they couldn’t to make a suitable choice easily.

Does the truth above describe all the complex or bigger things and then should we make all things as simple as possible? Of course not, we should look at these things objectively, as an epithet says that every coin has two sides, and must make a concrete analysis of concrete problems.
At first, we can't afford a consequence to neglect a truth that one of significant reason why the increasing number of complex or bigger things are be produced is that the past simple measure couldn't be adapted to the necessary of nowadays world. One striking example, the emergence of the first assembly line in the world, which was invented by Henry Ford, lead to and then bring out the revolution to the modern industry, instead of the traditional manufacturing methods in workshop. Who can deny the more complex or bigger assembly line is more efficient than the conventional simple method of workshop? Even though we faced the confusion of choice, we will know which one is our real demand and how to pick up some things with the public praise as time fly.
Moreover, the invention of complex or bigger things in the stage is a necessary for the future, which likes a course of gradual accumulation and one from quantitative to qualitative changes. For instance, because of accounting for the security, in the past time many locksmiths designed the more complicated locks and keys by any means. But those locks are destined never to absolutely perfect that if we lost our homes’ key, the locks will be in danger and we can’t open the door. Only through this confusion, modern scientists would invent the more suitable locks utilized by the system of automatic iris or fingerprint recognition. At last we couldn’t always be fretful when our keys are lost and opening the door is more handy and safety. If we couldn’t sum up experience from producing or employing the complicated or bigger things, we wouldn’t know which some functions is real benefit and others is needless, and besides we couldn’t simplify those things effectively.

In conclusion, confronted with the ambiguity inherent in many difficult choices, the mysterious theories or intricate but unpractical things will be vanished with the passage of time, according to the process of utilizing the complex or bigger ones. So we shouldn’t be anxious to create some simple things directly.
