Students should bring certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.

In the modern society, information comes as huge wave that we cannot figure out what is available to our acquirement. What is worse, some fules false information may lead us to the totally wrong direction. In this situation, it is very necessary to foster the ability of skepticism, especially for students who are curious about everything around them.

As a student for many years, I have found several disadvantages if we accept the knowledge from teachers and books without skepticism or even without asking why. Firstly the knowledge accepted passively will not impressed students deeply, because without thinking, bringing by the skepticism, knowledge just like a jok joke that students heard from one of their friends, they laugh at it and soon forget about it. Then secondly, even if students can brand what they are taught in their minds, they still cannot use it, eventually leaving it as some litters stored in their brain. Let alone, without skepticism, students will regard everthings everything as right, but in fact, even the most logical thing now will be totally wrong in the future.

So the purpse purpose of eduction education is to teach student how to judge the things happen around them, not just tell them what it is. And one way to achieve the goal is to skeptice skeptic. With the ability of judgement judgment, students can make a perfect chose rather than follow the former solution, and then a breakthrough will appear in the academic field. Take Watson and Crick, who find the actual structure of DNA, they never hasty believe others' assumptions about the structure of DNA chain. Instead, they make a lot of skepticism about the former study, they build their own model of the DNA chain, that is the famous DNA double chain model, based on the accurate date of study. And this breakthrough in the biology academic circle makes enormous achievement about the biochemistry to be bloomed. Naturally, the whole world benefits a lot from the following technologies brought by the advancement advancement in knowledge. So the appropriate skepticism will bring right judgment, which will lead the students, especially the graduate students, to make huge contribution to the academic world.

However, over skepticism or inappropriate skepticism will make some side-effect on the development of students. Considering the primary school students, they haven't formed the ability of judgment, so too much skepticism will prevent them from accepting more knowledge. In my view, skepticism can be ridiculous if they know nothing about the world. What is wore, it may be dangerous to them if they doubt with the right moral values, including the respecting the old and help the poor. In this circumstance, students like the pupil should accept the right things unconditionally without childish skepticism.

In sum, skepticism is quite essential in the process of study, some inventions will not appear without the endless re-thinking. And the skepticism will bring the vital thing-judgment-to our life. However, like the statement above, skepticism should be made under the appepriate
situaltion.
