People always spend too much time in personal enjoyment ——doing what they want—— rather then what they should today

In my eyes, the recreational ways for people to relax themselves turn to be more and more, but the amount of time people spent in personal enjoyment varies from person to person.

There is no doubt that the kinds of enjoyment are more than it used to be. For example, we can enjoy computer games at anytime in our dormitory with our roommates, but our parents can only enjoy the rope skipping in the outside; we can enjoy the three dimensional movies in the crowed and professional cinema, but they can only enjoy the short and coarse movies in the outsides. So we can enjoy our free time in numerous ways, which may make the personal enjoyment more appealing . Thus we may spent more time in what we want.

While we should not ignore the reality we are in the life whose pace is faster and faster, and the competition between us are bigger and bigger, then most of us have less time for ourselves. For example, as my grandparents are children, they have less homework to do and they do not have to care about the scores of their exams as us. Our parents have less pressure to find a job when they graduate from the university, almost all of them are admitted to a definite enterprise or a department automatically. Last year，the number of undergraduates who can’t find a job is 1.5million in out country. As I was a high school student, I had to work harder than the others to get a higher mark in the college entrance exams, while I am a undergraduate I still have to spent more time in the study and the practice in the social activities in order to be stronger in the cruel competition of finding a desirable job. I really couldn’t find enough time for me to relax myself.

I do think that whether the amount of time spent on the personal enjoyment is more or less is a case by case problem. The person who has lower expectation for himself would be satisfied with the relaxed life, and then he may spend more time in personal enjoyments, and so do the person who are really talented and always can finish what they should do. But for the most of us, who have a higher request for the future and always set one goal after another, the time may seems to be rather limited and insufficient.
