Doing work: by hand or using machines?

Since entering the twenty first century with an ongoing advancement of the technology and science, many people concern how to positively alter their working strategy in case lots of companies have strong human resource while relatively fewer advanced equipments. But the truth is, hand work alone is not a real approach to implement high efficiency and outperformed quality. And that’s because, like food industry, even though approximate 20 percent of the food suppliers keep providing or examining their productions manually, they currently take over only about 8 percent of the whole food chain. Even if we exhaust every last piece of all the time and energy we have to enhance our hand-** skills, it wouldn’t be enough to meet our long-term economic and time-saving needs. So, high-quality and high-efficiency can only come if we find ways to renovate traditional working process – if we invest in mechanical and automatic instruments. Hence, I firmly believe that harnessing machines guarantees more superiority against totally working by hand.

One first reason might involve the poor performance of traditional hand-working strategy. As all we know, hand work is an energy-consuming and time-costing task. One has to focus on a huge number of details, every manual steps, even unrelated trifles and so on. The workers’ struggle to this low input-output ratio has resonated with many of the 68 million people worldwide who suffer from such boring and robot-like drudgery. Here’s a statistic to explain why advanced machines are important. Every 100 computerized equipments of fishing industry around the coastland of China supports more than 4$ million annually income and plus it offers 2,000 jobs in our country. Furthermore, Schools that employ digital devices for senior education demonstrate the constant improvements made by automatic software with superfast computers in comparison to previous hand-working approach.

More significantly, mechanical instruments contributes to a profound impact of scientfic research, when utilizing nothing but your hands, nor could one preciously gauge how long it is between a ms-leveled intervals. To handle the challenge issue of high demand for accuracy, our central focus is to eradicate as much tiny errors as possible from every experiments, observations and thereafter seek a path to carefully calculate the final result. That’s where machines come. For example, financial analysis using computer algorithms , which typically does not suffer from the major drawback of the hand work for which adding a large number of data might actually lead to inevitable computing mistakes.

In a nutshell, the major contributions of advanced devices are two-fold: not only do they outperform hand-** workers in both efficiency and quality, but also they help us simplify studies and rule out unobservable errors. Nowadays, we learned that, with few exceptions, over 98 percent of modern companies, schools and families benefits notably from automatic machine and digital equipments. That’s a good sign. But we have to keep up the momentum, and by transitioning to a machine-dominated society, greater economy and efficiency will be seen ahead.
