People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

正文：
Having been a college student for several years, I come to think about why so many people persistently try their best to attend college. Then I get the answer, it is the motivation of pursuing their ideal dream, realizing their future career, and making contribution to society that encourage people make determination of being educated in university.

First of all, the dream rooted in everyone’s mind can probably come true if one work hard in study and directed in attending university. Everyone have at least one dream planted in their mind since they are child, and the process of pursuing our dream is passionate journey as the ever child grow from the young to the adult and eventually to the old. During the process, the university studying experience added to an individual’s life is undoubtedly valueless. Take me as an example, six years ago, I get admitted to Jiang xi normal university (JXNU), I deeply realized that the life there is not only interesting but also inspiring. During four years study, I have developed the interpersonal skill as well as the academic ability in the scientific area of biology, which is extremely beneficial to shape my sound character, for I find I get the happiness by communicating with my classmates and friends and feel spiritually satisfied with what I have learned from the famous academic professors. As I have a dream of being a scientist one day when I was a little child, at the moment of the commencement of JXNU in 2008, I ultimately insist on my childhood dream of being a scientist.

Secondly, by attending university, one can find out their academic interest and realize their long-term career. As we all know, university’s main task is helping them realize where their talent lies and developing the students’ academic ability. University always provides all kinds of majors for students to choose and thus can guide every students to eventually decide which major they want to go further. I, for example, was first study finance when I was a freshman, after taking some alternative classes, I find biology impressed me most for its fantastic knowledge and experiment. at last, I change my major from finance to biology science.

What’s more, having been educated in university can make one believes one has the capability to contribute to society. University is a place that prepare individual to get adapted to the fiercely competing society. If one can survive in society, he/she can almost lead a prevailing life. Thus, the individual can help those who badly need assistance economically, which, in turn, will make the individuals feel that they live a meaningful life.

Friendship is virtually indispensable in our life. I have intelligent friends, and friends filled with sense of humor, and reliable friends. Whenever I was asked what kind of friends I treasured most, I always give the answer with no hesitation: the reliable friends. It is undeniable that a reliable friend often bears some valuable virtue, to be specific, reliable friends are helpful, honest, and trustable.


First of all, a reliable friend is warm-heartily helpful. A friend in need is undoubtedly a friend indeed. There are ups and downs in our life. Looking back upon, there were always someone timely turned up when I was in trouble, which made me felt I was not living alone and felt no fear in face of the difficult. To make it more vividly, I can give my former experience to illustrate it. When I was in high school, I have no interest in the subject physics since it is extremely vital and means a lot for a science student. Since I got awfully low grade in physics every final exam, I lose my heart in study. At the moment, my classmate lina who sit beside me feels my pessimistic mood, and discovers where lies the problem, then she try to review the complicated knowledge with me together, and eventually help me work out the the restricted factor that despair me. But for her efforts to assist and encourage me in study, I can imagine that I can’t now come to the graduate study period. Although we are apart and live in two cities, we must get together for several times no matter how busy we are. Secondly, a reliable friend can also truly share your fortunate happiness and enjoy them with you together. Every time lina and I get together, I can feel her eyes filled with enthusiastic expectation of hearing the good news of my daily life, what’s amazing is that I also have the same feeling. She will feel truly excited about that I find a careful and thoughtful boyfriend, but suddenly turn to be painful about my grandfather’s passing away this year. Last but not least, the reliable friend is persistently trustable. Over this years, lina never stop give me useful suggestions when I was making great determination. She treasures our friendship and treat me like her dear little sister, which make me feel I have someone to trust under whatever condition.

In sum, a reliable friend have already tremendously add wealthy experience to my life. Although a reliable can reasonably be intelligent and full of humor, I will immediately choose a reliable friend if the three characteristics conflict
