1. Does the major of undergraduates have a great influence in choosing the student of this program?   Especially for the student who's major unrelated to mathematics or statistics.

Yes, to a certain degree. However, over the past years, our student profile is very diversitifed.We have admitted students with different undergraduate majors. Certainly, some background in statistics is required.

2. Do I need to attend GMAT test? What is the role of GMAT scores played during the application?

No, we don't need GMAT score. But it helps if the scores are high. The most important criterion is proficiency in English.

3. What's the mode of interview?  How many parts of the interview? Should I need to prepare the knowledge of mathematics or statistics for the interview?

For non-local students, we would not conduct any interview. However, if the students are in HK, then we will invite them for interview. Interview will last for about 10-15 minutes.

4. The admission requirements say preference will be given to local Hong Kong applicants and some people leaving message on the BBS say this program seldom gave offer to Mainland student. So I'm strongly worried about it. Please give me more information about it.

In a way, the program is in mixed mode, i.e., either in full-time or part-time mode. However, only local students can have this flexibility. All non-local students have to take the program in full-time mode because of visa requirement unless they have other ways to stay in HK legally to take the courses. In the past years, a majority of the offers are given to local students but we do admit non-local students with good qualifications. Certainly, the competition is rather stiff. We are now considering offering a separate class solely for full-time students next year.

5.what kind of title will be given to this program? Taught Master's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma?

The award title is Master of Art in Quantitative Analysis of Business.

我也申了，这个专业课程是不是很难啊，我看全是统计和数学，我觉得应用数学更好，我数学差会不会学不下来。。。
