Some people think university professors should spend more time doing research while others think they should spend more time educating students. What is your view?
(Education)Composition :

Some people prefer to A, others believe B. Nowadays some may hold the opinion that the university professors should spend more time on doing research,but others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I agree that the university professors should spend more time on doing research .

My arguments for this point are listed as follows.

In my point of view, studying in the university , educating is important , the students enter the university just for being educated. However ,have someone ever considered why university is called “university”? Apparently, this word come from the word “universe”which is the space including allthe stars and planets. That is to say, when our ancestor created the word “university”, he imagined a palce which contains uncountable knowledge ,lots of studying,many kinds of techniques etc.

Clearly , people now has got many konwledge and techniques ,but how to improve them is quite a difficult question. Let the university professors do the reserch is quite a good way.

In the other hand, educating is also important.Students learn technology and skills from the university. When they graduate from the university ,they act many roles and make huge effect on the society and public,so that our socieity can improve.

Since now,it seems two sides are both right. While, I think the professor should spend more time on doing research or studying.The reason why I agree with this side is because the reason why student enter the college.It seems contrary,right? However,it’s reasonable. The world is changing ,so the technology and skills needs to be refreshing all the time. To get the refresh of knowledge, we need development of science,physic,biology,literature etc.In order to reach this aim ,we need professors spend more time doing research. Then the professors teach their new achievement in research to the students and the students bring the technology and skills to the society and the world is developing. That’s the result we all want to see.

Taking into account of all these factors, we may reach conclusion that the university professors spend more time on doing research is much better than they spend more time educating students.
