Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

Before demonstrating the statement which it is primarily through our identification with social groups that we define ourselves, we should elucidate that what definition of ourselves is. Through a host of characters can we use to define ourselves but only by fathoming out three of them can we have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of who we are, where we come from and what we are going to do. The three essential characters are our talent, which is what we are born with; our dream, which is what we are living for and our belief, which is what we are dying for. Only by accepting that the definition of ourselves consists of the three elements above can we move on to the second crux of the statement, which is about the social groups we are faced with.

Whatever standards we use to classify social groups, there are only two kinds, one is the social group that we are subordinate so that we have to be compliant and deferential even if it is sometimes not our will to do so, however, the other kind of social group is just on the contrary, it is a group that we have the authority and power to have an influence on the decisions we need to arrive at so as to make some difference. No matter how different it seems superficially between the two kinds of groups, the underlying impacts they have on defining ourselves is almost the same except for in different ways. As to the social group in which we are inferior, for example, an employee's merit depends on the need of the employer, thus only by catering to the employer's need can the employee be appreciated, so as a consequence, the value of our virtues is merely evaluated by the social groups around us. Additionally, in the condition which we are superior and capable of bringing things about in accordance with our own will, it seems one can judge oneself without bending his or her knee to other people's Values. Nonetheless, it will be obvious if we give it a second thought that though the behavior seems unrestrained, the principles engendered in our minds which help us shape our dreams and build up our belief are inevitably affected by the social groups. When referring to dream, it is common sense that dream is derived from the desire to be what we want to be and to do what we want to do, so that without comparing with other people and their lives, we cannot realize what will bring us comfort and what will make us discomfort, also we cannot perceive what is benevolent and what is malevolent, in this way, it is out of the question for us to cognize the world in a profound and diversified way and then figure out what we really want. It is the same when it comes to belief. According to this notion, absolutely uniqueness and innovation without the base of previous experience and effect from surroundings is inexistent.

To sum up, since we have constituted groups, organizations and nations through so many years' civilization, it is definitely that nobody is an absolute individual. It is all under the influence of social groups that talent, dream and belief, the three ultimate factors for defining ourselves are. Consequently, we can come to the conclusion that no matter spiritually and physically, we will have no idea how to define ourselves without identification with social groups.

我也不太清楚，貌似没有太大变化，只是在扣题的时候往上靠一下就行了，比如用一下reason这种要求中出现的词汇
