Two visiting scholar or research assistant positions available immediately in the Interactive Visual Computing Lab, at the University of Southern Mississippi, for outstanding and highly motivated candidates to work on interdisciplinary projects related to the following areas:
(1)
Diffusion Tensor MRI or biological network visualizations
(2)
Graph drawing and its related perception issues
(3)
3D Interaction techniques
IVCL (http://ivcl.cs.usm.edu) at the school of Computing offers an excellent training environment for research fellows in 3D interaction and visualization research. Candidates should have a BS degree in Computer Science with practical experience in visualization, or interaction, or visual analytics; must be hard working and highly motivated; and must be familiar with or eager to learn computer graphics and visualization. Being capable of programming in at least one graphics programming language (e.g., OpenGL or VTK or Qt) is a big plus.
