我觉得这道题突破点在于第二空。
维基上这么解释social history: Social history, often called the new social history, is a branch of History that includes history of ordinary people and their strategies of coping with life.  
社会历史学主要是研究普通人的生活，因此是旨在描述短暂变化。于是和抒情诗所抒发的不变的人类情感是对立的关系。

在GRE填空中，优先选择意思明确，感情强烈的词。
