Recently, the majority of people argue as if it is a general truth that the destination of having a job is to earn money as much as possible rather than gain social status for people. However, others have a divergent attitude towards the issue. In various situations of discussion, the main focus is on which is more valuable, money or social status. As for me, I would definitely agree that the main purpose for people who want to have a job is to earn money, with respect to the consideration of living and personal development.
The first and foremost thing a job main bring about is that it can supply the material basement everyone need in food, room, and some other crucial things. Take my classmates in the university for example, as the time of graduation is approaching, most of people would talk about which job can give more money and have an inviting potential on salary rising. This obvious reflect the fact that all the people, especially those in big city, want high payment to supply the support the material need, medical treatment, even the education and entertain for them and their kids.

Second, on the consideration of individual development, one should agree that money would be the reason to find a job. There is a saying, the higher payment, the more difficult the job will be. If a job have a high salary, that means it will bring more challenges to the person, and thus at the same time, can give the person more opportunities for career practicing. As the opportunities increase, one may have more chance to get a personal development for the future career. So Choosing the money as the purpose when consider a job is very important.

Some people discuss that social status is more important than money on the job issue. They say that as a person, we should not always think about money excessively. While this is partly true, the argument also has its weak point. People can not be surrounded by a group of people all the time. That is, the influence of the social status is confined by the space and the time. On the contrary, money can make a constant effect on a person, no matter on the living, the career, even the psychological part.

Generally, taking all the evidences into account, we should safely reach the conclusion that it is wise to choose the money not the social status as the purpose of finding a job, because this not also can do good to one's living, but can better prepare one's future career as well.

The lecturer talks about argument that the three methods aim to control the population of cane toad in the passage may be unsuccessful and make some harm to the environment. He says the content stated in the passage was somewhat inaccurate when compared to what happen for real.
First, the national fence can not prevent the spread of the cane toad. For one thing, there may be river in the place where the cane toads live. The young cane toads and the cane toad eggs can flow through the fence on the river. Thus, the cane toads can grow outside the fence. Another thing is that young cane toads can get across the fence because of the small size. This indirectly contradicts what the passage mentioned.
Second, the volunteers may do some negative effects on the environment of the Australia. Because that the volunteers may not be fully trained. As they captured and destroy the cane toads, they may do some unpredictable harm to the forest especially in some special climate. This is another part which conflict with what is mentioned in the reading material.
Finally, the disease-causing virus may generate vast bad influence to other continent. When the cane toads were infected by the virus, their habit will change and they will attack another species of the America. So the passage did not reflect the real situation as the lecturer does.
To sum up, the three points illustrate that the lecturer disagree with what is contained in the reading passage.

Recently, the majority of people question an issue whether people in rural region are able to take care of the family members better than people in urban region. In various angle of this issue, the main is to consider on which side individual can obtain more resource to look after the family. As for me, I would definitely agree that in the urban area, individual can have better opportunities taking care of the family, with respect to fundamental life condition, social trend, and economic reason.

The first and foremost important city life bring about is life convenience such as in medical treatment and education. Considering when your parents happen to get a serious stomach ache that need complicate physical treatment. Urban people can send the parents to the nearest hospital right away that the serious disease can be immediately controlled. While for the people in rural place, maybe it is hard for them to find a proper place to execute the treatment that the best cure time would be missed. Also in the city people will get better condition in education, business, and in other life respect. Obvioously, living in city have more advantageous in life condition.

In addition, and to some extent that people in the rural place in China are eager to get a job in big cities in order to earn more money so that family can not be well taken care of in the rural area. Once young people get a precious work chance like in architecture or in factory, he will by all odds to stay in the cities all year around. For Chinese people, there is millions of family that only childern and their grandparents stay while their young parents go to the cities to make contribution to the construction of the modern country. In this case, the family in the rural can not be looked after well.

Moreover, on the average, people in the urban area can have a higher income than people in the rural area. This will give them more flexibiity for good life quality of the family. Some people may say that people in the rural place have more time to look after the family. While this is partly true, people in the cities can have more money and more other mearure to compensate this disadvantage. For example, young people can send the childer to the kindergarten while at the same time support old parents to live in the community where old people gather.

General speaking, Instance of the same sort can be multiplied indefinitely. Taking into account of all these factors, we may reach the conclusion that it is more advantageous for urban people than rural people to take care of their family not only because urban life are richer and more convenient, but also people in the cities do not need to go some other place that they can take care of their family better.

Nowasdays, the majority of people argue that young people do not need care much about the advice from their grandparents since the world in these age persons' eyes has been changing in a significant degree during the past 50 years. While others hold a divergent position claiming that even the things and condition above the surface have changed a lot, something are unchangeable. In different angle, the main aim to judge whether the advices are useful. But to be frank, I would definitely side with the point that old people's advices are of great useful and valuable in most cases, with respect to the life skill and social experience, and emotional communication.

The first and foremost thing grandparents would bring to their grandchildren is the social experience. Considering the fact that they have lived for more than maybe forty years or so than you, and have experienced most of things everyone would go through. What such an affluent information base they have in their brain! For example, before going to university I always had long conversations with my grandma and tried to excavate some interesting news about her and my parents. I have learned a lot about how they choose when they confront some seemingly unsolutable problem. When later in my life, these experince from the conversations can sometimes give me useful advice and necessary courage to solute the difficulties in my life. Thus, I get the truth that since the people's mind does not change a lot in the recent years, even the past hundreds of years, the grandparent's advice is a precious to their granchildren.

In addition, and to some extent that grandparents often taught some life skill which are very helpful to the grandparents. For example, I have learned how to cook meal from my grandma and learned how to shoot the deer from my grandpa because my paretns are always busy. They have no choice between me and the work. On the other hand, my grandparents always have time and mood to teach me.

Moreover, taking the advice of old people is some kind of emotional coomunication. Some people may not agree with this view. However, old people like grandparents feel lonely since they have done most of the work in their life and their sons and daugters cannot accompany them. Often, they have many things to talk and many ideas to share. When you listen to them, they would be pleased to be listened to, to be pay attention to. Thus, I think it is a responsibility for grandchildren to stay with their grandparetns and listen to their advice for some time.

General speaking, old people cannnot fully keep up with the pace of today's flourished world and confound culture. Yet taking into account of all the factors above, we may reach the conclusion that it is wise to absorb and condider over the advice carefully not only because they have tens of years experience on life and society, but also you can dispel the loneliness of them.

Nowadays, the majority of people argue as if it is a general truth that people are more likely to receive excellent education than in the past. However, others hold a divergent attitude toward this issue. As for me, I agree with the former position with numerous reasons such as the public concern, or because of available of teaching resource, or just of methodology in teaching.

The first and foremost important is the change of social attitude on education. In the past, most of work concentrate on the agriculture and industrial area so that required knowledge is very limited in amount and range. With the rapid development caused by information and automation, production and manipulation of agriculture and industrial contain much more technology thus it is necessary for a perosn to receive high level and comprehensive education. On the other hand, due to the consideration of national development and individual development, the government and public put more and more weigh on education. This conversion in attitude would promote make people with good education more possible.

In addtion, to a significant degree, educational resource is more flourished no matter in quantity and in quality. Considering the Internet and digital medium, these invents in technology accelerate the knowledge spread objectively. For example, if my roomate want to go to Spain and learn proficient Spainish. He would not need to find teachers deliberately and cost much money. All his need to do is just buy the online course which not only cheaper but also effective for novice. Another example is about mt learning English. I can search much source like VOA and BBC audio-visual material with delicate production which most of them are not available twelve years ago.

The last but not the least, the teaching method has been improved subtlely and significantly. In the past we may have no sytematic method in teaching a subject. But now, because previous people have accumulated much useful experience so that people who want to be master in the area could go round the trap and save unnecessary effort. To think of learning microchip dsign, in the past the averatge time for Chinese is three years, now the training process is only ten months to one year. This is becasue; this area has been maturing and knows how to teach useful experience and knowleage more effectively.

Generally speaking, evne though much more work should be done in education area, we should concede that a person can get knowledge he or she need more easily. Taking into account of all these factors, we may reach the conclusion that people can be well-educated more easily now than in the past, not only because the public begin to concentrate the seriousness of this problem, but the method and resource for teaching are becoming more and more available.

In this group of materials, the reading passage discusses reasons that seem to demostrate that gathering a group of people is good idea for finishing a project, while in the lecture, the professor argues that a team of people would result conter effect to the achievement of the project by stressing some strong evidences in the speaking.

The first point made in the reading passage is that an individual is more likely to receive honor and recognized for his or her capitivity in a team. However in the listening passage, there are always free-riders contributing nothing to the team while can share the fruit of the team. But for the people, who do most of the jobs in the team, they not only won extra prize but also not receive proper honor compared to their contribution.

The second point made in the reading passage is that a number of people would participate in a job. Therefore, it is more advertageous for a team with wider range of knowledge and skills; also they can response more quickly and innovatively to the task than an individual does. But the professor says that is not case. Many of people would cost extra time on reaching a consense so that it is low efftive for a team to come up with a decision.

The third point made in the reading passage is that people who make desicion would be rewarded since the professor explains that it might be. But most of the instance illustrate that sometimes a brilliant idea would be dropped without deep analysis by the leader and other team members, also the lead would mislead the members to concentrate on an idea of little value.

Nowadays, the majority of people question that the universities or college should not offer too much courses for their future career because it can deprived of the opportunities to learn by themselves. While others hold a divergent attitude that it is for resposible for teachers to give as much as possible to students. As for me, I think the final aim is to better prepare the students for the challenges in the coming days and would definitely agree that the universities or colleges should teach the students how to learn not just instill too much knowledge.

The first and foremost important reason is because of fast natural refresh rate of knowledge and information. It has been said that half of what you have learned in school would be outdated in three years after you go out of school. Experts in socaiology suggest that our information and knowledge might increase exponentially that our knowledge would be replaced quickly. Even when learning, the replacement of what might have begun. On the other hand, the rate of teaching is a linearly rate, thus the purely offer more classes is not an effective and wise ways to help students to repare their future.

In addition, even thought the universities or colleges can give us a considerable amount of knowledge so that we would be possibly familiar with what we do in the specified area. The amount and degree since the teacher would be limite to some extent in the schools. Considering my study in C++ language in class, the teacher can only teach to solve some very theorical problem which are well designed and can not put into applicant immediately. Besides, most of the companies outside the schools are using Java as their main lanuage. In other words, both the problems and the language which we are tought of are not usefull.

Last but not the least, while it is partly right to teach students more, it is not a sustainable way because the knowledge from schools can only help with the career for at most from three to five years. The fundamental thought should conduct the students to search what to learn to promote individual developent, and in what way can the students themselves learn the knowledge fastest.

To sum up, even though the primary aim is well intended to offer more for students to face with the future career, it is not an effective and thorough way. Taking into account of the reasons above, it is wise for colleges or universities to lead the students to find which to learn and how to learn, because of the rapid developmant and evolution of the information and knowledge that students should possess a sustainable method, but also the knowledge and skills those teachers supply would be restricted to a very narrow acadamic area, which is not appliable to the entreprenuer practice.

The first point made in the passage is that company can hire more workers to compensate for the work amount. Also the company would have few overworked and error-prone employees using the quantity of money. However in the listening passage, the speaker claim that hiring more people means cost more money. Taken four-day policy, a company would cost extra monay on training and medical benifits of workers. Also more people would bring more cost on office space and computers.These would cut into the company's profits.

The second point made in the reading passage is that the curt on workweek save some workload shifted to others. Therefore, it would reduce the unemployment rate of the country. But the professor says that because hiring people would cost much money, the company would try to narrow the difference four-day policy bring about. They would raise the expectaion to workers, put overload to workers, without hiring more people, which make the job condition unpleasant.

The third point mde in the passage is that employees could exchange part of their salary for more personal time to raise the quality of life. The professor explains that things might not happen that perfectly. Firstly, invest less time would lead to more disablitu in career. These people would be the first to lose their job when the economic turn down. Secondly, they would lose the promotion opportunities because many of the management position are five-day to ensure the continure converage and consistent supervision.
