化学转化工 求各位大侠帮定位

GRE:1480+3
TOEFL:102(R29+L24+S20+W29)
Research：两个，均是与化学有关，但无paper。
Recommendation：三个在美国交流时的老师—一个带research的（Madison）一个教数学的（cornell）一个教化学的（非名校）
其他：美国交流一年 无sub成绩

现大四，我想化学博士和化工硕士都申几个，但转化工专业申请不知道难不难，如果申化学博士，到了美国再转其他专业，比如统计，经济等，这又是怎么个情况，现在非常迷茫，求各位大侠帮着定一下位，应该申请什么档次的学校，有没有什么推荐的学校，万分感谢！

那三个老师都是教了我半年课，其中两个应该不错，但是我不知道该怎么和他们沟通这个，万一他们写坏了怎么办，如果我这么问“Will you write a good recommendation letter for me”会不会不礼貌。。

it depends on how you interacted with them
for example if a prof was teaching a class of 300 students and you were one of them, then I doubt he knows you well enough to write anything.
did you talk to them often? did you talk about your career plan and showed them your passion at some point?
do you think they know how much you want to go to grad school?

if all yes, then you could email them saying something like "I'm XXX, and I took your XXX class in 20XX year. I am applying for grad school this year and I am writing to ask if you could write me a reference letter. I need a reference letter that shows my passion/my research skill/my academic qualification/ect. May I ask you to be my reference?"

And then they know what kind of letter you want and they can judge if they are able to write you one.
