大家啊大家
如果你自己不是那种极其NB看了老师的文章立马思如泉涌的那种我个人建议你在学术套之前慎重考虑至少3次每次多于10分钟
设身处地想想吧如果你自己是老师你做你自己的科研做了20年了忽然来了一个本科还没毕业的小屁孩对你的科研指手画脚地说一些非常没技术含量的评论或者问一些根本不是问题的问题就为引起你注意让你掏钱供自己上学你什么心情？
反正我是觉得非常恶心的你要是觉得不恶心你就继续当我没说过

最近很多同学问我学术套之后为什么老师不给回复
我觉得换我我就不会给你回复因为你那些问题根本就不是问题你根本没有想问问题老师也没什么意思回答你
如果是今年申请申请就在眼前了别假惺惺地学术套了直接上真的吧

另外介绍下我的陶瓷信思路
1.开篇自我介绍我叫啥在哪个学校学啥的几年级了
2. 我对老师的项目有什么兴趣以及如何产生的（学术点什么五岁的时候幼儿园老师说了神马话就别写了哈）实在编不出你就参考你以前学过什么课就说对那个课有兴趣就行了别弄太离谱
3. 我做过什么项目有过什么经历
4. 我的项目和经历和老师的项目有什么联系我学到了什么技能和经验可以让我以后做老师的项目的时候有优势得心应手
5. 问老师今年招不招人非常喜欢可以做老师的学生相信自己可以成为一个好学生之类的
6. 谢谢期待老师的回信如果老师需要更多的信息非常愿意提供成绩单科研经历推荐信以及电话面试等等

OK, I'm not saying you should not contact profs. I'm saying you should find the right way to sell yourself to the professor. Do not show off what you don't really understand in front of the expert. That will make you look stupid and most people do not appreciate it.

There are quite a lot NB people who really have good ideas to talk about. If you are one of them, go ahead and talk about your ideas. I believe profs love students with their own ideas.

But if you do not have those ideas, do not pretend you have one, because it is so obvious and so easy to tell. If you do not have ideas but still try to pretend, that only indicates you are not a humble learner and that will make you look like a terrible researcher. Knowing what you don't know and being confident with it is an essential point for being a good researcher.

I gave you my way of contacting profs there, that means I encourage you to contact profs. And who said that is not 学术? I talked about my research interest, my experience and my skills--if this is not 学术 then what is 学术? It is you guys who defined "学术套" as "only talking about research", and this is not necessarily correct. To me, as long as you are talking about research, application, your experience, your strength, your career goal, these are all considered 学术. The only thing that is not 学术 is probably like "Hi Dr.XXX, will you talk grad student this year?" "Yes."

For those who read this thread and feel discouraged and thus decide not to contact profs any more, I hope you could reconsider your attitude and your career goal. I may sound discouraging but its not that bad. Life is not encouraging in general and you need to know how to face some failure and learn from your experience. If you are afraid of being discouraged so you decide not to do it, then it is not too late just to give up your application and stay at your hometown with a nice easy job. I'm not saying this is bad. This is actually my ideal life style but I just can't go back there anymore. Once you get out of the country you'll face so much more challenges than this simple easy school application process and you will face much more heart breaking failures. Trust me on this. Honestly studying abroad is like finding challenges and discouragement for yourself. You don't always need challenge in your life. Life can be simple easy and happy. Some brave people enjoy being challenged but most people do not (I dont). If you prefer to avoid challenge, then its better to avoid going there.
