找不到病理专业

相看看美国各个学校病理专业的排名，为什么在US NEWS上面没有pathology呢？？？不管是medicine还是science都找不到这个专业，还是归在其他别的什么专业下面了呢？刚刚研究出国，，问的有点菜。。。请各位谅解。。。。

I have never found it so far, maybe because most pathology departments are under medical school and hospitals and relatively in smaller size.

The average step1 score of medical graduates matched into Pathology program is 222 which is the same as internal medicine and at the middle of all 19 programs with the number I know. To me, the score does not sound like for the last several guys in the class to get. Also, most Pathology programs are university based but not community based, which means a bit more difficult than some lower level community based family medicine and internal medicine.

Well, things has changed recently, pathology used to be among the easiest choice maybe 10 to 20 years ago, just like radiology used to be. Right now, radiology is one of the hottest and pathology has become the middle in the rank. Considering the relatively smaller number recruited, I should say over average a bit. Also, a number of pathology residents now have master or PhD level degree also, making it a bit harder. Right now, those study nerds in medical schools kind of start to like Pathology.

There are 146 pathology programs with 2388 on duty residents now. So the Path programs are relatively smaller than those huge ones as internal medicine, OB/GY, Anesthesiology, Emergency, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, radiology, and of course Surgery, but still in the middle of all those programs.

But all these are clinical departments as a lot of these programs do not recruit PhD.

So, if LZ loves Pathology, then you will need to apply a lot of them. If you want to find the list of all clinical Pathology department and look around their website one by one to find PhD programs, you can get the list somewhere at ACGME.org.

把病理放到google里，加上你想看的学校名字，不管在哪都会出来。google都没有的话就真没有了。
