现在也记不得哪个是孙的了，就一并写了，后后

I.
Position: In many cases, compromising one’s beliefs is necessary.
A.        Granted, faith gives us courage as well as strength in our struggle against difficulties.
B.        However, in a multicultural society, one should learn to compromise one’s religious beliefs.
C.        Besides, in international relations, political fundamentalism is just as harmful as religious fundamentalism.

II.
Position: 赞同大于反对。
A.        In international relations, compromise sometimes is necessary. (中美七十年代的相互妥协和建交。)
B.        The importance of intercultural communication. The coexistence of beliefs.
C.        However, there are some basic human values we should try to stick to under any condition such as the freedom of religion, speech, expression, press and the equality before the law.

A.        In history, competition has served as a dynamic force in the development of human civilization.
B.        Today, competition among political parties contributes to democracy in society.
C.        In the business world, without competition, there would be no economic prosperity.

II.
A.        Apply 商业，教育，政治。
a.        Job opportunities, lower prices and better quality of service.
b.        学生的成绩，考试的竞争中获得收获。
c.        political parties, democracy.
B.  However, in order for competition to being beneficial to society, it is vitally important/ it is crucial to make sure that the play is fair.

I.
Position: Most students benefit from a higher education.
A.        Reading under the instruction of experienced professors is more effective than students’ independent reading.
B.        Colleges and universities provide students with a learning environment that benefit students in an all-round way.
C.        It should be admitted that many colleges and universities should reform their curriculums and teaching methods to better meet the individual needs of students.

A.        It is true that learning in groups is both interesting and inspiring.

15. “Government should not fund any scientific research whose consequences, either medical or ethical, are unclear. ”
I.
Position:
The role that government can play in advancing scientific research is much more complex than what the statement suggests.
A.        Undoubtedly, government should fund scientific research that directly benefits its citizens.
B.        However, since scientific research almost always involves certain uncertain elements, government will have to take risks in deciding which research project to support.
C.        Of course, once the harmful consequences of a research undertaking are identified, government should withdraw its support to the program or even prohibit it.

II.
Position: 部分不赞同
A.        Undoubtedly 政府应该支持影响国计民生的项目。
B.        决定时有要take risks 的时候，eg. Outer space exploration, 大型项目在民间无法展开。
C.        政府一旦知道医/伦后果有害，应立即阻止。

16. “Government officials should rely on their own judgment rather than unquestioningly carrying out the will of the people whom they serve. ”
I.
Position: The relationship of government and its people is much more complex than the statement suggests.
A.        Those who advocate an authoritarian form of government have good reasons to argue that the will of the people is difficult to know.
B.        In addition, the people may not know what is best for them.
C.        In spite of the above concerns, a democratic government should make ceaseless efforts to make sure that the people are well informed, and to create channels through which the will of the people is made public.

II.
Position: 关系比想象中复杂。
A.        人民意愿很难了解。Different interest groups, 利益集团。
B.        People may not know what is best for them. The conflicts between interest and expertise. (银行利率的确定。)
C.        In spite of the above concerns, a democratic government should make ceaseless efforts to make sure that the people are well informed, and to create channels through which the will of the people is made public. （人民代表大会制度、demonstration、vote election, etc.）

藕就惨了，找了许久才找了一个怪怪的“三毛”Photo，呵呵

想问问，这个孙远的新题是不是ETS官方新增的啊，怎么感觉有些题目和原来有些题目类似！不知这个新增的题目总共有多少题？

感觉北京新东方孙远讲的怎么和武汉新东方阿杜讲的不一样呢？新东方难道还搞区别对待啊？

东方每个老师的讲课肯定都是不一样的啊，他们都有自己的讲义
孙远比较牛一点，用了他自己写的书，就是大家都知道的孙远GRE写作啦
书里issue题库总共有三个部分最初的，2002.7新增的，和2002.10新增的，
其中2002.10部分书上没有给出提纲，
我现在作的工作就是把当时孙远上课口述的我速记下来的这些提纲整理出来和大家共享啦！总共28题……我的任务还是很艰巨的啊……
