It is fraught with choice in our modern life. You select which shirt or skirt to put on; you determine how to go to work; you choose what kind of pen to use; you also tell yourself whether to take the GRE test.

As far as I am concerned, it is the rapid development of the society that gives us more and more chances of choice. For the reason of absence of choice is the restraint of the conditions. For instance, in the era that there is no any vehicle, the people can only use their foot to some place, while today people can choose take plane, train, ship or on foot to where they want to arrive. With the time going on, we will have more and more chances to choose what we want.

As the choice increasing, many people are afraid of choosing especially in important things. They are easy to regret what they consider to be wrong choice. They regret why choose another at that time. In my opinion, one's choice embodies and depends on his/her characters. Just like some people like red and some people like blue, this must affect their choice when they decide which shirt to buy. One's characters decide which one to choose almost in every thing, whether it is important or unimportant. Even if you choose another which does not fit your characters one time, you will unconsciously choose back which will lead to the same result in another choice.

In conclusion, the absence of choice is a circumstance that is very, very rare. Nevertheless, the people's choice will not affect their destinies largely. After all, it is the characters not the choice that decide one's destiny. So, choose what you like, in spite of which choice, it is your own choice.
