In the title statement the author claims that the more knowledge we acquire , the less comprehensible , the more complex and mysterious things will become. I strongly agree with the author. Times changes, society is developing, our knowledge are improving , however  things become more complex and mysterious.
Firstly,  as we acquire more knowledge , we broaden the breadth , deepen the depth of them , thus the things become less comprehensible. In ancient time in the nomadic tribes , people lived a simply life and the world seemed easier and more comprehensible to them. They took for  granted that all the things were made by the god . But now, with the more knowledge around us , we can not think in such a way , we must keep a series of principles , and use some kinds of methods to discover our mysterious world . As a result, even the simply world our ancient seemed now become less and less comprehensible.

Secondly, if the knowledge we have acquired is the ken within a circle , then the unknown world is the without around the circle, of course as our knowledge improves , the ken within a circle will accordingly widen, however  , the unknown also are extending. For example, at earlier time , we seem our word are invented by god. Then with the development of knowledge accompanying by the inception of microscope, we found that the things are comprised of molecular, then time went on, we found it is not molecular but the atom that constitutes the things. Now we find it is quark rather atom that serve as the basic . Then maybe, in the near future , the quark will give way to a new things we do not know now.  This example illustrates that the more advanced our society becomes the more complex and mysterious our world turn into .

Thirdly, there is no reason for us to be too frustrated about the complex world , in that with the more knowledge we acquire, we have the more advanced weapon to fight against the world and can control them better. Although the word becomes more complex, our ability to understand , to make use of it also improves. For example, in ancient time , once we got some untypical disease, the only things we could do is to wait for death. However , now , with more  knowledge about some disease and the more advanced knowledge to cure it , we are not as afraid of them  as before in that we can control and cure them more efficiently and quickly. This example illustrates that we have no reason to not be optimistic about our world.

In sum ,based on the analysis and proof mentioned above , we can safely conclude that although we acquire more knowledge , to the contrary , our world  becomes more complex and mysterious and less comprehensible . However, we need not to be too pessimistic about these for our ability to control the world and explore also are improving.

In sum ,based on the analysis and proof mentioned above , we can safely conclude that although we acquire more knowledge , to the contrary , our world becomes more complex and mysterious and less comprehensible . However, we need not to be too pessimistic about these for our ability to control the world and explore also are improving.
