I think nearly everyone has the experience of being treated rudely by others. Then how did you feel at that time? When you're thinking about the words to describe your feelings, you'll probably know what I'm going to demonstrate: We should never be rude to others. Firstly, rudeness makes a person difficult to get along with, thus he will be less likely to succeed. Nobody would like to make friends with a person who always uses dirty words, shouts at others and only cares about his own feelings. When I was in middle school, one of my classmates is such kind of a rude person. He often quarreled with others for some trivial things. He treated others strictly but he allowed himself to do all kinds of awful things and he never listened to others' advice. At last, he nearly lost all of his friends. We hoped to help him out but we didn't know how to deal with his bad temper, so we left him alone. Now we have all graduated from middle school, we could rarely see him again. What we only know about him is that he didn't choose to go to a university and he is now working in a small factory, owning a small amount of money. As you can see, a rude person loses lots of friends and together he loses the help from them, which could probably help him to lead a better life. Moreover, in Chinese culture, being polite is always regarded as a virtue. It is a symbol of being well-educated. There is a famous story in Chinese history about a little boy called Kong Rong. When he was only four years old, he knew to be polite to other people. He took the smallest pear and left the bigger ones to his younger and elder brothers. Thus, he was praised by his father and was acknowledged by more and more people. He finally became a famous literature, whose educational ideology influenced lots of people. His story is passed from one generation to another. So, treating others politely will make it easier for you to be accepted by others, and you could receive politeness from other people, too. Finally, it is important to realize that always being rude may be related to some diseases. According to the VOA Health Report, the United States is suffering an increasing death rate due to heart disease. Experts have conducted a research among such patients. The result turns out that about 90% of them live in an uncomfortable environment, and 70% of them tend to get angry easily and quarrel with others. The huge percentage shows that rude behavior might somehow interfere with your health. If a person is not satisfied with his life, then he turn to be angry easily and often quarrel with other people, it will do damage to his heart. So in order to live a healthy life, we'd better stay optimistic and try to be a generous and kind-hearted person. To sum up, being polite to others helps us to make more friends, get more help, and live a healthier life. Treat others politely and we can live a better life.
