207"Rituals and ceremonies help define a culture. Without them, societies or groups of people have a diminished sense of who they are." 16

Do rituals and ceremonies help define a culture and without them societies or groups of people have a diminished sense of who they are? Some people believe so, others believe not. To my perspective, I strongly agree with the speaker's assertion that rituals and ceremonies do help define a culture.
Rituals and ceremonies do help define a specific culture. Anyone living in this world, if any, (这里用if any意思似乎不对)is bound to root in some certain conditions which reflect different cultures and traditions. A Chinese is living in the China which has about thousands of years tradition and culture. (如果此处要说人们都生活在不同的文化,传统的土壤中,我觉得你既然提到了Chinese,那么不妨用排比句,多说几种不同的,否则单独一个显得突兀)people live in different countries which have distinct cultures. Take a minatory in China as an example. The minatory enjoy their festivals with(in) a particular way. They,(加个逗号吧,这里)on festivals, thrash water on the bodies of people, the more water you are thrashed, the more welcome(warmer) you are welcomed. That is a very different way to appreciate the festivals. In China, anyone hearing the water festivals must in no time be thinking that the minatory is DaiZu. Water festival to some extent is the sign of DaiZu. Rituals and ceremonies helping to define a culture does not be only (改为not only顺口些)in China. Therefore, a specific culture, to some extent, can be defined by its rituals and ceremonies.
In a society, the rituals and ceremonies help individuals have a sense of who they are. any person must live in a group which has its own different characteristics. The people included in certain groups will in some degrees (in some degree, or to some extent) stands for the groups. Humans are social animals, so we(we挪到后面去,此处是倒装句表强调,so only through a group can we……) only through a group can recognize ourselves. Due to the significant differences of cultures in which rituals and ceremonies are included, we can make use of them to identify an individual or a group or a nation. So through the group we humans can define ourselves. Without them, we will lost the very position in the long-term life. Anyone isolated will lose his direction in advance, so he/she must through a group define who I am and the like(你的句子总是把介词引导的短语放在前面,这点看起来很像GRE的阅读文章^_^). Only through the culture can one precisely describe one's coordination in this increasing complex world.
A problem need consideration is that in the process of the globalization, some certain rituals and ceremonies are gradually disappearing. We should pay some attention to the protecting(protection is OKay)the distinction of the rituals and ceremonies due to(due to一般接名词,此处用because即可) they are part of our traditional culture which is precious legacy of(which) the ancestors left us. The cultures of the nations in this world are more and more homogeneous and losing their original charastrics, which is detrimental to the development of a society. A nation should have its own different culture and through the differences from that of others the nation identify its own existence.
In the final analysis, rituals and ceremonies are help to(are helpful in, or can help to) define a certain culture. And through them, we can have a sense of who i am(we are) and get to know our precise positions in the life time.

结尾这样可以了,因为结尾如果想不出什么深化主题的句子,不如就简洁明了的总结一下前述观点即可。 |
