201 "The purpose of education should be to provide students with a value system, a standard, a set of ideas -- not to prepare them for a specific job."

The speaker claims the education should satisfy the students' demand of a value system, a standard, a set of ideas, not the preparation for a specific job. In my view of point, since all students have to face a certain job for living, school should prepare them for a specific job, while provide them with a value system, a standard (stardard), a set of ideas.
Undoubtedly (Undoutedly), a value system, a standard, and a set of ideas are particular importance for all students who are within the period (peroid) of beginning reappraising (reaccessing) their living world, and ambiguous with what are really valuable to them. Everyday, we have to face lots of choices and puzzling (puzzelling) problems, if we have not a heavy belief, a value system, we will lost our direction into the large information (imformation) sea. For example, if you were a manager of investment department of certain corporation (corpation) and were anxious for an estate investment, your secretary assume it will guarantee (gaurantee) large profits for its potential (potence能力), but your another consulter suggest your giving up, because it would lead that many people who lived there have to move away from their loving and familiar (acquantial  acquire 获得 acquaintance 熟人) environment. You will be frustrated their saying because their reasons, if you are a gainful man, you can choose the former, but if you more care about others' living condition, you should support the latter. Thus, a value system is necessary for us. The education should achieve this aim, and better turtle people to erect correct, virtuous, pure-hearted value system.  

However, as the place of cultivating people who eventually (eventurally) are engaged in specific job, the university has the responsibility to provide them necessary knowledge. a variety of specific jobs afford the society's running, and all of us can flee away from specific job. since schools have plenty of sources and experts, why not such good condition are exerted to teach students some fundamental knowledge for specific job, which university are actually acting as? by doing this, the pressure of outside society will be reduced greatly, and the efficiency will get large increase.
Only when the demand of value system and specific knowledge could be combined (combinated) and kept a balance, the school could achieve its goal, turtle people how to discover, analyze, and solve the question. a man with value system, but without specific knowledge, is a doctrinaire; a man with specific knowledge, but without value system, is just like a machine manipulated by human beings. Only when having both two, can one person acquired glorious success and be devoted society construction at his most.
In sum, we always should not neglect the importance of specific knowledge, despite the indispensability (indisponsibility) of process afford value system.

In my view of point(view 或者point或者point of view，没有说view of point的), since all students have to face(动宾不搭配) a certain job for living, school should prepare them for a specific job, while provide them with a value system, a standard (stardard), a set of ideas. 既然你是写balance，用while这个仅仅是表对照的词来表达语气就太弱了，至少也是while…should equally/never neglect/also pay attention，这样观点也鲜明一些。
